Third gen turbo kit on FC

Third gen turbo kit on FC
I'm trying to figure out why a third gen manifold and turbo would not bolt up to a s4 block?? Say if i bought a rx6 or t-76 kit! Besides for the DP why would the rest of the kit not fit?
Dose the FD manifold have diffrent angles to clear the turbo from the strut tower?? I'm just looking for other options than turbonetics or a $6,000 blitz kit

There are turbo placement issues. Put it this way, if you have a manifold for the 3rd gen and put it on the 13bt, then the turbo could possibly hit the lower intake manifold on the 13bt. In the other case, you use a custom manifold for the FC motor the turbo placement can be too close to the inside fender wall. The Turbo placement is the issue, not if it will bolt to the engine or not.

Greg, that was my question! No one has tryed this?? I have a FD upper intake manifold for my project, maybe the only way to do this is to have another adapter made for the HKS exhaust manifold from a T-04E to what ever the Apexi flang is??

First you're talking about bolting FD parts to FC's. Now your talking about T-04E manifolds and apexi flanges? You're confusing me dude!

Sorry! I seems like the HKS exhaust manifold is the only option for a turbo II, It has a TO4 flang! Greddy and Apexi turbo's (IHI and mitsu) use differnt flanges than a standerd TO4! What the hell would someone with rx7 that is not an FD do to run one of these fine turbos?
I bought a FD upper intake manifold and had a adapter plate made so i could bolt the FD upper onto the s4 lower manifold. (hoping for better air flow)
So the question was? If i bought a say the Rx6 turbo kit, would the exhaust maifold and turbo fit in the engine bay with out hitting the fender wall?
So the last part of your WTF repley! I was thinking about buying the HKS Exhaust manifold and just the Rx6 turbo, i don't think they would bolt together? so would i have to make some kind of adapter?
