You should be able to slap the turbo on there with no problem. I Think that they use the same manifold. Call Greddy to make sure.

You could use your TD06 manifold from Greddy but, it doesn't have the correct flange on it to "just bolt up a T-88". Also it's not a divide manifold and the runners are much smaller then what is supplied with T-88 kits from Greddy. The wastegates are different too, the T-88 comes with the Type C, which is their largest. Hope this helps...

A buddy has the Greddy td06 and it sure APPEARED to have the normal Greddy T04 manifold, THEN an "adapter" manifold between that and the turbine housing. If you check and yours has that in between piece, placing the Td06 Quite a ways forward and OUT IMO, you should be good to go with a standard T04!

I'd take the adapter and td06 if it were cheap enough... ;-)

THE TD06 uses a t04 flange like almost every other turbo out. The flange sizing should be correct its just the turbo clearance that might be an issue if the manifolds for the td06 place the turbo in a different location than the T-78 and T-88 kits.

The thread originator never got back with us with details....

I'd bet on it having the intermediate housing in there, meaning that he can run a T04....But a TD06 should not have the same pattern as a T04.

At least, on that Greddy TD06 kit here in town, the big pattern on the manifold itself looks exactly like T04, and then theres a 3-3.5" long connecting piece, then the TD06 flange bolts on. That pattern is WAY smaller than the TD04 pattern.

:-)

maybe you are right about the Td06 flanges cause I have never seen one. Someone call greddy to see what flange the Td06 uses

the mitsu 25G uses a T04 flange to the best of my knowledge

ok Ill call Greddy to finish this thread. I thought that the td06 25g and the tdo7 25g used the t4 flange but in a few hours I will have a definate answer!

Cool

If you would, Greg, mention to them the kit that has the connecting pipe and see what they say.

The results:

The Td06 flange is completely different than any other flange on the market. It will definately not be able to use any garrett style flanged turbo with the manifold that comes with the td06 kit. You have to weld a new flange on the manifold in order to get the t4 style flanged (turbonetics/hks/bigger greddy/garrett) turbocharger to work with the td06 kit.

Basically, the guy needs to get a new manifold or modify the one he has already to get the t4 style flanged turbo to work.

here is the flange that the Td06 uses, I am such a dumb *** , I saw this picture about a month ago and forgot that those style flanges were for the td06. WHOOOPS

BUT some Greddy kits have a normal t04 manifold THEN a connector pipe. I'll get some pics!!! :-)

(I'm certain on the adapter, and would bet that the first portion of the mani is the normal t04 manifold. What else would it be that would make sense and be THAT large?)

Most TD06 25G turbos actually use a T3 sized flange. The TD06 that uses the triangle style flange is the TD06 "L2" turbos(high flow exhaust wheel, one less blade).

hey greg,
regarding that pic of that manifold with those flanges...that doesnt look like a standard 25G turbing housing flange, maybe thats from some sort of hybrid turbo...im 99.9% sure the 25G uses the standard T04 flange

oh well

Couldn't get a good pic. But this is the manifold that goes on the motor, looks T04 to me, then an adapter goes down to another square flange that VERY much does look like a T3 flange. I'll dig for more pics.

The second is on the motor with the adapter, but you can't see it. You CAN see a bolt holding the adapter to the T04 flange, and can tell that the turbine housing inlet DOES NOT extend THAT far down! Because there's a piece of metal in there.

Arguing with myself, but somehow it all must make sense...

Sorry to start this thread again but i just bought a new Greddy TD06 kit minus the turbo. I was hoping that I could fit a To4 on the manifold. Is there an adapter that someone makes that will allow Me to do this? I have been having no luck. How much RWHP will I make with a TD06 setup? Sorry for not reading this earlier.

ok, so the greedy td06, t78 and T88 kits each use diffrent manifolds? or are the T78 and T88 manifolds the same?

can someone post the outside diameters of each of the greedy manifolds? i have a greedy manifold and T66 mounted to it, but the runners look smaller than the ones on a T88. so do i have a td06 kit manifold(that you guys say the T66 wont bolt to), or a T78 manifold? (if the T78 is in face diffrent from the t88 One)

btw my manifold also has the greedy type C wastgate mounted to it.
DAMN I'm confused now!

T78 and T88 flanges are the same.

Question

Okay now I am more confused also. Will a TD07 25G fit on the Greddy TDO6 manifold also? Speed_NYC do you have a picture of your manifold before the T-66 was mounted?

Igy, quote me if I'm wrong, but the td-07 will not bolt up to a td-06 manifold...but a t-04 w manifold will fit the td-07 turbine

i know those flanges are the same, but i'm talking about the diameter of the runners. are the diameters of the runners on the Td06, T78 and T88 the same?

i'm trying to figure out which manifold i have
thanx
