T04s vs Apexi Rx6

how does the T04s or HKS T04r run against the Apex Rx6 Isamu when it comes to road racing courses? Does the T04 spool up fast like the Rx6? Which is the better set up for track use?

That depends

Do you run on the racing course?
Does it have a long straight?
If it doesn't, if twisty, neither TO4S , TO4R nor Apex works well.
Stock turbine and ARC SMIC , down and mid pipe and good quality
exhaust system is the best.
If you have enough money, you should buy a light weight hatch gate
and aclylic glasses and fiber doors.
Those will reduce your lap time.

For a road going and track car, lag is overrated. Peter Farrel runs a T04s on his road car and makes over 500rwhp. That is a very scary setup but viscious too when you consider the high speeds of a road course. In japan a lot of racers are using T78, T04r, T04s as well, since for road courses you never stay at lower rpm ranges anyways.

I guess ur right on this one.

Once the car is going on the track, it probably doesn;t matter.

Did you guys happen to see the first initial reply to my question? That guy races FD's in Japan and says that much HP is only a good thing on the straight...

However, the Porsche GT1 Race car puts down 544HP and weighs about 2300lbs...I bet with some weight mods you could EASILY get the FD down to that weight. Now just add some Aero mods, racing suspension, AP 13" big brake kit, and some racing wheels/rims...I'm sure you could put down about the same HP as the porsche, in which case a GT35/40 would do nicely

Hrm...how much are race tires?

A) You just replied to a 10 year old thread with something COMPLETELY unrelated.

B) He hasn't logged on to this site since July 2011. Chances are you're not going to hear from him as a result of this post.
