apex seals start to get brittle around 50K miles and become much more weak than new out of the box seals. No one can tell you how long your engine will last but I'm going to go out on a limb and tell you with a T78 @15psi with a engine that could have as many as 78K miles your in the danger area. There are bone stock 7's that dont last to 80K miles.
Also, I'd take the advice someone else gave you and have the engine rebuilt now, before it blows up. Once it blows up its going to send a apex seal thru the turbine wheel of your new T78 and its going to be rebuild time for the engine AND the turbo.

The compression wont matter. 3rd gens never go bad due to wear of the seals, like a n/a rx7 does (150K miles). The prob is when they get over 50K miles the seals start to get brittle and they crack easier.

well did you ever think about that if it has low compression then it may be old and he can tell if its going to crack soon since he doesnt know the real mileage? If it had nice compression then theres a chance it could have been rebuilt and the seals arent brittle.

im glad money isnt an issue with you, lol. Mine didnt last too long afte the single turbo install. Of course there was other reasons for that. Stupid fuel injector. I only had about 7k miles on it.

If properly tuned and maintained it may last longer than you think. Just ask Ernie T about this (what was he running 26-28 psi?)
T88 = Sir Lag-a-lot, Lagmaster 3000, the Leg-o-matic
Why not get a newer turbocharger that can not only spool up sooner, but make more power as well.

Ernie got beat running 13psi on his car caring a passenger. Poor boys civic has never seen a 10sec time in it life. Just ask civic boy, he will tell you he would not race ernie on race gas with the boost turned up.

Your half to be joking. If you were him would you want to race a car that was 3sec faster then you I don't want to discuss this online I just wanted to prevent you from spreading rumors when you don't have all the details.

My point is that the seals being brittle doesnt lower the compression. It could have 90K miles and perfect compression with extremely brittle seals. You turn the boost up and its gone.
The compression doesnt tell you how much longer the engine's going to last.
Even at the lowest mileage he listed (48K miles) thats pushing it with a T78 and high boost
