Synapse 50MM to Tial 44MM Fitment

I'm tired of dicking around with the Synapse 50mm wastegate I have. it irritates me to no end.

Off hand does anyone know if the inlet flange to the Synapse is the same as Tial 44mm?

Oh yeah - I'll be looking for a Tial wastegate if anyone has one. Also willing to ditch the Synapse at a bargain price.

You know, further to this - is there another wastegate that will fit the flange for the Synapse... that maybe doesn't cost $400?

Turbosmart, Turbonetics... etc.

I'd like to keep Ching Chong Chinaspeed out of it if I can although I'm sure they work okay too.

I know the inlet flange on the synapse and Tial are different. I have actually tried swapping before.
I had good luck with the synapse all though they are confusing to setup.

The Synapse is rock solid boost IF you use the integrated boost control system on the wastegate. I don't want this. I want to be able to adjust the boost at a whim.

If you try to use it with an electronic boost controller, it is just too squirrely. It actually seems to react TOO FAST and flutters with the boost solenoid.

Ive set it up as Synapse says - with Port C only. Sucks.

Ive set the wastegate up as a conventional wastegate - using C to open and the top port to close it. Sucks.

It just - sucks.

I don't want to yank the manifold to weld a new flange on. I guess I'll settle for any wastegate that will fit the flange. The Synapse MUST go.

^^^Synapse Synchronic 50mm Wastegate

Your store says the flanges ARE compatible.

Maybe Banzai can help you?
My thinking is they have a 4 bolt HKS to Tial 44mm adapter..
BUT ask them if the adapter will fit a Synapse 50mm and you have your answer!
EDIT:
just found this(looks like the reversal of what you want) and it looks like NO:

i havent personally used the synapse, but have heard they fail rather quickly from the rotary exhaust heat.

I think we took the wording from synapse but as I recall they are not compatible.

50mm synapse here.

Once it had had a bit of use boost became inconsistent with heat when using external boost control. Long story short the upper and lower o rings don't seal properly when hot after some use, even though the center O ring does (center O ring works in place of conventional diaphragm and really is the only one that matters). To fix it I removed port A and D and blocked them with very short machine screws. Now it works just like a Tial etc using port B and C. Boost curve is very consistent now, even at 40psi.
