Ok so I just got back into the rotary game with a 91 coupe that has a s5 t2 swap in it, as far as I can tell its stock other than an aftermarket down pipe and I believe cat back 3" motoria dual exhaust, a mishimoto rad and banzai block off plates,atleast I was told its an s5 but thats a differnet thread anyway, it has an aftermarket boost gauge on it and I noticed it only boosted to 5.5psi wich I thought was strange after reading up alittle I discovered that is the stock psi for an s4, and yeah I know both wg have the 5.5lb spring and the s5 used an electronic boost controller to bump it up to like 8 I believe, thing is when I removed the tmic there was no black box with vac lines and they have a 2 stage manual turbosmart boost controller on it that wasnt hooked up....im getting there.....so I figured they took that off so they could run the manual cont. Hence only 5.5psi but since then I installed a freddy bov and decided reinstall the manual boost cont. And ive got it 9lbs pretty consistently, my question is...is this safe, and also I have an fcd that came off of a s4 will it work for my s5, I plugged it up and the check engine light came on?
