Single turbo torque specs/maintenance

What are the recommended specs for things like the turbo manifold to the turbo, waste gates, housing bolts, comp housing, exhaust, oil intake, and oil drain.

What is recommended by turbo manufactures like garret? Specifically for the GT35R?

Do any of you guys have an idea as to what would be a good torque based on experience or recommendations from reputable sources?

I am concerned about this for two reasons, one because I have had problems in the past with exhaust connections snapping bolts and leaking. And two, I also have a WB that is not working properly; so I am trying to track down possible culprits for exhaust leaks.

Any ideas or advice would be very helpful.

Thanks

up you go

Anyone even want to comment on if it is that important, or if you have ever had a problem with this?

Seems like there would be fairly specific guidelines on how these would be tightened considering the conditions.

good-n-tight.

or flight line torque in the air craft biz

I too, looked for torque specs for a turbo system...no dice. Ended up looking at stock torque for above statement and using my best scientific wildass educated guess.

tight enough not to have an exhaust leak.

I agree. If nothing else were available I'd refer to the OEM torque for similar sized hardware for the stock turbo and manifold.

Are there any references you guys know of that would specify such things or similar to turbo manifold bolt size and grade touquing capacity for the relative heat gradient?

Or just get real **** and find out what kind of tension those bolts are under and go look up the tensile strength of the appropriate grade bolts used?

Well if you want to get **** (eeew!) I'd suggest calling someone like ARP and asking about head bolts or exhaust manifold bolt torque specs and for ehat kinds of bolt materials they would use for these applications. Who knows maybe they might even have recommended bolts for this application.
