Single turbo coolant lines, w/pics.

GT35r hybrid turbo.

Question: Is this ok for coolant lines?

I would have gone with SS lines and JEGS fittings...... but im not really sure about your setup, looks adequte.. scince its not high pressure lines.

As would I, but this was part of a "kit"...so I just used what was available.

I was just curious if this was sufficient and would flow in a in/out direction and not stagnate.

Btw, I also had a quick question...on the underside of the upper intake manifold..there is a sensor there..

What color plug goes there and what's it for...important?

that's the air intake sensor, White plug on the harness, on the same branch and just before the TPS (throttle position sensor).

Umm no, the white plug is the ISC, idle speed control, that is located next to the TB. The AIT ,Air Intake Temp, is a connector with a green and brown wire going into a black connector.

those are the coolant lines for the stock twins...so they should be fine

as far as the lines themselves...you don't like them, then go thru the trouble of drilling and tapping the WP housing and assembling the hoses for SS lines. problem solved.

Air intake temperature...yes it is important

Another options is silicone heater hose. Typically has a higher temperature rating than SS bradied hoses. If you stick with the rubber, I'd put some kind of heat shielding around it (many options here).

thanks for the correction Charlies7. I had just come back inside to correct my earlier error as I just pulled my UIM and gave a big DOH!

I am having nothing but proplems w/the top coolant line. It runs right beside the turbo exhaust housing and it gets hot and busts..

What options do I have?

sounds like nothing but whiney complaints on simple problems to me...

search the single turbo section, there are more than enough pictures of people running wet CHRA's without issues.

If you have rubber lines, Get rid of it! That will not hold up.
I have SS braided line on mine. Absolutly no problems here.
There's so much you can do it's not even funny. Turbo Blanket, Heat tape, Silicone line, SS line, Re-tap, above post with thermal protection crap line stuff^ etc... try something.

Absolutly agree...however I still mantain that w/a so called "kit" you would think it would be somewhat simplier for the ease of install, especially when you pay good money for it.

Atihun has a nice little write-up on how he tapped the WP housing for AN's in this thread below.

Personally, I'm probably going to have AN fittings welded on like the pic towards the end of that thread.

I wrapped mine with heat insulating tape. Has held up just fine for a couple years now, no busting as you seem to be seeing.
