Series 4 RX7 Turbo questions?
Hi.
I recently bought a Toyota Levin (1991) AE101 GTZ...its got a 1.6L 4agze engine that was converted from supercharged to turbo.
Its running a HT-18 turbo from a series 4 rx7.
The turbo has a RB20 exhaust housing from a r32 gtst skyline (which is smaller than the standard housig).
Im running 12psi right now and have roughly 140kw at the wheels.
My question is, does anyone have any specifications on the turbo?
Ive used the search for hours and everyone seems to have opinions and
guesses about the size of these turbos but no one seems to have concrete figures.
What would be the max efficient psi I could run the turbo at?
Ive read posts that say the turbo is inefficient after 10psi?
Keep in mind im runing a small 1.6L car.
Its got 365cc injectors , factory fueling etc.
Large front mount intercooler.
2.5inch exhaust.
Custom extractors.
Is there still much power potential to be had from this turbo with my car? (ie worth geting a aftermarket ecu and better fueling to run more boost or not?)
thanx.

HT 18 is capable of around 250 HP efficiently. around 10 psi is the efficiency limit for the turbo on a 13B, you should be able to boost quite a bit higher than that with a 1.6 boinger.
