Here are the pros and cons:
1. Expensive to the tune of $2200
2. Lighter mass means less low-end torque
3. Little or no high speed wobble that could wipe out or stress an apex seal. The apex seals could last much longer under high rpm use.
4. Lower rotating mass means LOTS of advantages!
- lower bearing load
- faster revving
- possibility of longer life
5. You don't want your motor to blow! 'cuz those damn expensive rotors!!!
I got 'em! They are cool. The motor runs VERY smooth! However, $2200 in go-fast goodies somewhere else would be better spent. This was just to make the motor special or unique. (ok, so I am honest!)

Yaw Power talks about rotor lightening in his website, but i don't know if he is offering the service yet. The process is a little difficult but nothing that a good machinist with a CNC machine couldn't do. Racing Beat pretty much charges that kind of money because they have the market cornered. I have access to a CNC machine and we're going to try it on a 12a first. But i wouldn't be able to do it for the masses since it's not my equipment and technicaly we're not.........ahhh nevermind. If the results are substantial then maybe it would be worth the $2G that RB charges.
