Recommendations on turbos
Im still new to the Rotary game, im only 15 and i currently rebuilt my motor and I was looking at the single swaps from the stock twins. I only have stock port and stock rebuild kit from atkins. People in my town have single turbo in there FDs & FCs also said they are more reliable and clear mostly the vacuum hoses. I already have a t4 flange sized turbo manifold with a wastegate (probably gonna get new ones) and I was just wondering what turbo will fit to the manifold and be will be capable being with my engine. Sorry if im sounding lil (newbie) but hey im still learning. Thanks

What your goals for the car is makes a huge difference. Do you want more top end or better spool? When would you like to hit full boost? Are you looking to upgrade engine management/fuel/exhaust/clutch/cooling as well? If you are on a budget and are only looking for reliability upgrade over the stock twins and they are in good shape you can go non sequential and get rid of the "rats nest" of vacuum lines that are a nightmare on the car.

Um, no offense, but you're 15 years old. You should probably not be driving an FD as a "learner" car... If you are going to be driving one though you should probably stay with the stock twins for now. These cars can easily be a lot to handle for relatively experienced drivers.
Throwing a mid-sized/big single on there is just asking for 450+whp. That's enough to make you real dead, real fast.

Completely dependent upon how much experience he has previously. I feel like a 350whp FD would have been easily controllable when I was 16. Maturity is the only other major factor that could be questionable. Then again I started racing dirt-bikes at age 9 and emmick racing karts on a track at age 12. A lot of kart drivers that are 16 would run laps around 98% of FD drivers I've seen.

Haha I hope you have enough money for the supporting mods as well (fuel system, aftermarket ecu, tuning etc). They dont call it the "FD" Rx7 for nothing lol. I found that out real quick lol but good luck!
