quick/simple T04R questions
Ok I just had a few easy questions. Does the HKS T04R say "HKS" on the front comp housing or no? Are all HKS ones divided or collected or do they offer both? Are they all v-band? What are the differences between the HKS and standard garrett T04R? Thanks alot.

I'll tell you right now the HKS T04R is sized differently then the one sold to the public by Garrett. Garrett makes Both but the sizing is closely guarded by HKS. You will make more power with the HKS hands down. Its been proven over and over.
As far as the details about kit you should call HKS

I appreciate the response and no offense whatsoever, but thats not what I was really looking for. Someone is going to sell me an HKS one, and I want to be sure its HKS and NOT a Garrett. I just figured some people on here had them. Thanks though. As for asking what the differences were, I was just hoping someone knew the exact difference or at least a reference between power from each turbo.

What Im telling you is they are both Garrett turbos. But the one sold under the HKS label is sized differently.
The power difference is substantial. Like 40-50+ hp at the same boost levels. If you have a question about HKS turbos your best bet is too call them. You will get varied responses on here. Most of them unreliable.

So i really don't think that it would hold 20 psi till redline. BTW, I will still using stock ports and that would probably have a difference.
Hm, definitely something to think about I guess. I changed my mind to the .84 after someone on here (I believe him name was carl) said he made like 450rwhp on a .84 but that was a different turbo I believe. Will a big streetport help or hurt with holding boost? Thanks.

I know they are both garrett turbos and HKS has garrett do something to them. I am getting mixed answers. I've had people tell me they are virtually the same with a clipped turbine wheel. Others have told me its like a GTQ wheel or something. I'll see if I can find a number and get ahold of them. Thanks for the help.

I really wish I had chosen to put a large street port on mine. I think it really would have helped overall. Made more power, faster spool, but i don't know if it would have helped the loss of power at 7k or not.
