I'm pretty sure that's a T4. I've never seen a divided housing T3, also the bolt pattern on a T3 is more square than that whereas the T4 is more elongated.

Huh... that's wierd... I just looked at the big version of the pic, and it does look T4-ish to me. I was thinking of T6 vs T4, not T4 vs T3 when I answered before.

Just measure the bolt spacing, that will tell you for sure, but now that I clicked on the big picture and compared it to my turbo pics, it does look like a T4...

Sorry!

*edit* Garrett does claim to sell T3 divided... I"ve never seen one, but they list it on their products website under some of their turbos like the GT32 stuff.

Looks like a really small t4 housing. Kind of looks like a Holset Turbo

You know what's odd if you study that pic? The four bolt holes look like they were ground open wider to the inside....

It could just be that someone made a crappy manifold and they had to make it fit, or it could be that it was designed for a certain bolt spacing and was then reground to mount it on the "wrong" manifold.

According to Garrett's literature, there is the common 2.75 x 3.50 inch bolt pattern (T4, which this appears to be) and then on a FEW turbos there was a 2.75 x 3.25 inch one. Maybe, just maybe this is a T4 turbine that was squished onto one of these oddball 2.75 x 3.25 inch things...

meh, who knows... maybe it's not made by Garrett anyhow... it's probably a Flux Capacitor 9000 with a T3.8 bolt pattern

i would say t4, but that exhaust housing looks too small for a rotary.

I'm sure that's a T4. And I've actually never seen a non-devided t3. Weird

Your right... the turbo is a GT4082 (0.94 exhaust side), but the car makes 385 rwhp at 15 psi and has great spool and low end power and torque. None the less, I may swap out that hotside with something bigger in the future, that's why I'm trying to figure if it's a T3 or T4 flange.

Here's a pic of the manifold (A-Spec) if that might help you guys tell for sure if it's a T3 or T4. Also, here's a link to garrett's webpage and they say that the turbo is a T3, but for some reason it looks like a T4 to me... http://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarrett/catelog/Turbochargers/GT40/GT4082_452232_5.htm

p.s. I know I could just measure it, but it's on the car and it would be a pain in the *** to take it off and measure it.

Anybody else know, or is the only real way to take off the turbo and measure it?

Well, I got a chance to measure it today and it is a T4 hotside: 2.75" X 3.5" measuring from the center of the bolt holes.
