Question about new turbo and engine rebuild
My FD is about to have the motor pulled out, and im pretty sure an apex seal went through the turbo, but even if it didnt I want to upgrade anyway.
Right now I have a hks T04E, but I want a T04z if I have the money.
I am trying to get alot of horsepower to make a fast street car and a weekend track/drift car....
What I want to know how much more power a T04R and T04Z would make over my T04E. And if I dont get the T04Z would it even be worth getting a T04R over my T04E??
I know T04E and T04R's are journal bearings and a T04Z is a ball bearing, I just want to know what kind of power I can expect out of these turbos.
Oh and what about the T04S, what kind of power and how much better than my current set-up.
And other than the turbos I have stated, what others are my options??
My FD's specs are
-apexi power FC
-Greddy FMIC
-HKS manifold
-HKS BOV
-HKS full exhuast
-HKS wastegate
-unknown brand AST
-act clutch
-walboro fuel pump
-850cc, 1600cc injectors with banazi's fuel rail set up
-greddy proflex b bost controller
-hks turbo timer
-13b that is currently being rebuilt by Banzai Racing and getting a better porting job.
(that is all I can remember at this time)
And anyone that has had a rebuild done by Banzai how long did it take, and what color did you have your engine painted. They told me 4 weeks if no parts are back ordered or somthing, which sounds good. Just wondering about how long it took others.
I cant say enough good things about Banzai Racing, if anyone needs anything done I would deffently say to call them up, very helpful and honest!!(just thought I would throw that in there!)

And please dont tell me to search it, I have been. I want to know know what the best way to go is with the things I already have done to my car.
