Question about big injectors and stock FPR
Hey guys, I'm wondering at what point I really need to upgrade my stock fuel pressure regulator???
I plan on running 550 / 1600's, would this be ok to run with the Walbro intake pump and stock fuel pressure regulator and lines??? I'm only going to be running up to like 17psi of boost which hopefully will be somewhere between 400-450rwhp.
At what point do I really need to upgrade it? Everyone keeps asking my why I havent switched over to a rrfpr

You don't need a RRFR. Just get a Aeromotive 1000 from Jegs for $129.
Or order one from the Rx-7 store with the fittings for a little more (you'll know that the fittings actually work...and not bottom out in the assembly causing you have no fuel return pressure and run at a constant MAX fuel pressure. Be careful rolling your own. )
Remember, tuning against a constant is alot easier than tuning against a variable! Don't make fuel pressure your variable.

Re: Question about big injectors and stock FPR
You can't use your stock FPR with the 1600cc/min injectors that you plan to run. The stock FPR is part of the fuel rail and you are getting a custom fuel rail for the 1600cc/min right? So you will need to get an aftermarket one no matter what.
