I'm getting the feeling that a 35R is too big for what I'm looking for (350rwhp low boost ~15psi and 400+ high boost under 22psi). Could anybody recommend a similar sized turbo with around the same characteristics of a 35R but more suitable for my application? Also what other brands manufacture dual ball bearing besides Garret?

^^ Get GT35R with a 0.82, combine that with a short manifold and you're set.

Are you worried about too much lag with the 35R?

350rwhp @ 15psi and 400+ @ 22psi would be a 60 trim To4E. Just make sure you get the 360 thrust bearing upgrade and water cooled chra for 20+psi.

In a .84 T4 divided housing with a divided manifold it will spool just as fast as the stock twins with a big free flowing exhaust. This turbo is available in BB configuration. We are a Garrett Dealer and can help you out if you want.

FYI all of the T4 1.06 GT35R housings I have seen are just T3 housings with a T4 footprint, including Garrett...

I think I'll end up getting a T4 .82 35R. With that turbo, would I see quick spool if I were to use high compression rotors (9.7:1), streetport on a short runner divided manifold?

I'm SOMEWHAT worried about the 35R being laggy (even though I know it's one of the quicker spooling turbos). People are saying ~3800 RPM they see full boost but I'm looking for it somewhere between 2700-3300, I think I'll be able to do it with the setup listed above.

Some other things I'm considering are a water to air intercooler, water injection (pre-turbo) or maybe meth (might be outside of my abilities to tune) and maybe a new exhaust (currently have RB).

I talked to forced performance about the t3 and t4 housings and they have told me during more than one conversation that a t3 1.06 is larger than a t4 .84. It is all ratio this is why I went with a T3 1.06 3586r. Keep in mind this is what they told me I am not stating this as I am not a turbo specialist.

The only way your going to get full boost that early is w/ the sequential set-up. W/ the 35r and 15 psi @ 3800. That means 10 psi around your rpm boost goals. Its gonna feel better due to the hp made (and what you are used to) @ 10 psi and the power curve. I have the 1.06 hotside and even that isnt laggy. Trust me. Your thinking too much into this. ( I did the same thing HAHA!) G
