Question on 35R spool

Question on 35R spool
Hey guys, I was looking into a GT35R for the future and I was wondering what spool is like with a specific A/R on a "streetport". At what RPM would you see 15 PSI and what are some of your setup specs?

A-Spec GT35R kit, 1.06 AR turbine, T3 housing, short exhaust manifold, custom small ports ,
16 PSI by 3600 rpm. 3" DP, MP, and RB cat back.
Working air pump, Blitz FMIC, Koyo "N" pass radiator, HKS Twin Power ignition with a TII leading coil.

When did the A-Spec GT3574 become ball bearing? I must have been asleep or absent when it happened.
From one of their earlier posts:
GT35 76mm comp, 68mm turbine.
GT35R 82mm comp, 68mm turbine.
GT3574 82mm comp, 74mm turbine.

We have them in a BB version as well now.

Well, I'm looking for around 15 psi a bit earlier than that, maybe like 500-700 rpms earlier. What kind of things would have to be changed to give this result?
There's actually a twin scroll GT35R, would this be worth looking into? It's quite a bit more expensive (http://www.full-race.com/catalog/pro...oducts_id=1841). If not, what are some equally matched/sized turbos for this kind of application?
AND, would it be possible to run a 35R setup on an Rtek? Or should I completely skip the Rtek at this stage in the game and save for a realk standalone (rebuilding now fairly stock'ish with Rtek most likely)?

"Turbonetics has filled the void for a Twinscroll 35R turbocharger. Using the highly efficient twin scroll turbine housing design with the highly acclaimed F1 turbine wheel and 56 trim 61mm compressor allows the turbo to spool sooner, make more low end, more midrange and top end power than a standard singlescroll 35R"
Sounds like the turbo everybody's been looking for.

Too bad most of what's posted on the full race link is marketing hype. OP if your wanting 15psi by 3krpm you'll need a smaller turbo or a smaller turbine A/r at which point you'll be looking at a 360-400whp car more than likely. The 3574R will spool as quick as the 35R-T4 and it will feel more responsive when compared to the 1.06 T4 especially between shifts. However it will not get you 15psi by 3krpm. The quickest response I've seen from a 35R was 3300rpm and that was a T3 years ago.

Manifold used
Exhaust size
Cat or none
Intercooler placement (Vmount, FMIC, SM)
Boost controller
All of these factors can greatly affect spool time.
I will be running a t3 GT35R on a stockport with a Aspec long manifold, RE Vmount, & MBC.....
I'll let ya know in a month....

Well as I said, this is purely thoughts on a future turbo. The only things I'm certain of right now are the 9.7 rotors that I'll be using, rtek, and a street port.
Thanks for all the input too guys, really appreciate it.

Hmmm interesting. This is what it says in full race website:

I am so sick of hearing the term "twinscroll" thrown around when 95% of these clowns don't even know what it means. Same goes for "twinscroll manifolds", huh? WTF? This is a classic case of the internet failing because of ignorance.
Sheesh.

Also anything you go to make the engine output larger at a lower RPM will increase spool if the turbo spools early say sub 3000rpm, and if it spools late say 4500+ RPM then porting wide but not tall will increase spool. This is because less port duration early shutting increases low speed output. More duration by early into port opening increases fuel economy midrange and power midrange to top end and moves peak power down if it is currently too high. check this plot out!

With a GT35R
-with 1.06 T3 I hit 1 bar at about 4200rpm
-with .82 T3 I hit 1 bar at about 3800rpm
-tube short runner manifold with poor wg reentry to exhaust
With a GT30R
-with .82 v-band hit 1 bar at about 3200rpm
-Aspec short runner manifold
This was on a no-load dyno, 4th gear, with 4.77 rear end (so more like a 3.5 gear compared to most people).
