I just bought a GM 3 bar boost sensor from Lerry on the forum. It is a pain in the *** to search for 3 bar details because "3" is too short and "bar" is non descriptive.

https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...ensor+power+fc
again putting links in my build thread for me to easily find them. i make my own "Mahjik" haha. Ironically, this thread is from the guy i bought the turbo kit from. history repeats itself

Exciting day! I just received my oil feed and return lines from A-Spec. Damn they are sharp.

muibubbles, my manifold came with the bolts on the t4 housing. I could measure them if you needed.

I have a damn leaking primary injector rail to deal with. boost leak, not gas. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sheY7a4cU1U

All things considered, im getting her idling tonight. :-) if not, ill probably have a fun video to post.

tonight was the most frustrating night of my build ever. wow. it sucked. The return line was a PITA to install properly. Not that it was built wrong, just its frustratingly slow to install without screwing up anything else.

My damn primary fuel rail isnt sealing the atomizer line from the open air. if you look closely at the rail, near the nozzles, there are 4 holes where air passes through. Because of my that, air rushes through those and out around the injector housing. i dont recall there being orings on that part of the rail.

grr. but good news, the oil feed and return lines are installed. I also adel clamped my new fuel line to the bottom of my car. looking good. wanted to start my car tonight. damn

LOL, yes the return is frustrating to install on that manifold, hopefully you didn't kink the line. On your setup the bottom fitting (to the block) should be pointing down and back, not up and forward also it needs to go on in sequence or you'll be pulling out your hair as well.

I was dumb and pointed the top return line towards the manifold. tightened all the bolts, went to put the hose on, noticed my error and gently set it down, walked away and grabbed something to eat.

Its definitely not kinked :-D

OMFG it started. first revolution. well, fair to say, first revolution with the crank angle sensors swap back to the correct spot. why do they let those two swap lol.

Im not stupid, **** happens with you celebrate and get cocky. I let it idle for less than 2-3 seconds and shut it off. I inspected my engine bay and underneath the car. hahahaha the power steering banjo bolt decided to coat my ENTIRE front clip in ps fluid. thats all good.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0QU44xxk5dw

I have a fuel return line problem at my flare.

My exhaust blew tons of packing peanuts out when roaring to life.

I even logged its first 3 seconds of new life with my datalogit. ;-)

It sounded amazing!!! definitely stoked right now. I completed:
fuel pump rewire FULLY
supra fuel pump
AN fuel rails and 1680 seconds
complete gut of vacuum and rats nest
single turbo install
pulled the entire engine and cleaned it to the core
rewire electrical bat relocation (properly this time)
new radiator
twin power
complete gutting of the wiring harness (this was a HUGE concern of course)

and she fired up right away. You guys should see my 10-11 pages of notes while doing the project. haha still have tons of stuff to do. mostly wastegate and BOV related

i know what you mean. This sounds funny; i felt like i was you this week. Watching your build thread, its slow and you are busy. EVERY time i went to sneak away to work on rexxy, i would get pulled back. for the most random reasons. so i kid u not, your build thread crossed my mind. The weather just got to mid 50s here so i got really agitated. lol

Shes alive! its unbelievable!!! I have a return fuel line leak and I had to continuously add coolant (not related haha) but she ran so smooth.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tO0Erl9PjRk

I have so much to do:-

-weld bov flange
-properly run wastegate line
-figure out why my dashboard isnt working now lol
-run a damn return line in ss braid line. the flaring just doesnt make me happy 6an to 5/16 hmm
-make sure coolant is flowing through my turbo haha. i took a year off its life with low coolant. I idled the car and stayed safe but thats why you dont jump on the car immediately.

AND fill or replace my battery. (or monitor the load on the battery) enjoy the following short presentation

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cro46lYxC9o

I tried to be serious so nobody freaks out without a disclaimer. ;-) it was awesome to watch.

I didnt drive her. I have a 4 step rehabilitation process i committed to.

1) turn over/start for a second and shut off
2) idle
3) drive NO BOOST
4) boost.

The chance of problems grows exponentially with each step.

I did purchase a 5/16 tube adaptor to male 6 AN. Trying to get the 3/8 to 6AN was an error on my part. Didnt see this fitting until you mentioned it. Im installing it on my return line tonight. Thanks for the heads up

It is old and gave me the middle finger. I haven't used it in two seasons. It was burning hot and spitting out hydrogen. The thing was toast after 24 hrs barely registering voltage. I bought a sexy Braille $200 unit with three times the cca in almost the same size

I'm so ready to warm her up and test my boost a little. The burning return oil makes
it look like I have an engine fire so I'm stuck fixing it. The leaking gas return increases my chances of an engine fire. ;-) tempting though.

I will clearly say this. I promised myself to take it slow and considering how
much changed on my car, I'm impressed it started immediately. :-D

It's fully alive. not fully done, but fully driveable.

Proof

its running lean at idle and crusing speeds. i gladly ask for critiques and advice or even questions on my numbers here. I have not tuned it yet. this is off a club provided map.

It is mean. as you can see in the numbers, i boosted it a little. It wants blood. It sounds so clean.

muibubbles, i was getting very scared as my return line on my turbo wasnt sealing fully and dumping oil onto my exhaust. looked like my engine was on fire. it has since been fixed.

I was hoping to get some parts repainted, that might wait until after.

Like yourself, i have to go to chicago to get it tuned before i make the voyage to Deals. Very exciting though.

Technically i have nothing to break in, other than all of the parts working together.

Looks like there are 3 (or more) of us in this boat, my interior is still in pieces, and i still havent tried to start it since i rewired a ton of stuff. And hopefully I get my new panels painted next week.

Also, when you rewired your battery, what did you use for a circuit breaker and where did you get it? My battery was already relocated but whoever did it did not put a breaker in.

circuit breaker... I got flamed back in 2003 for relocating my battery without one. by good old jimlab. i deserved it. but, i havent installed one yet. so thats double jeopardy, no one can flame me again for the first offense :-D

I looked for a good mountable unit from summit and i didnt know the correct terminology to find what i was looking for.

I have a BOV flange to weld on and WI to install. then im all ready for deals. I timed my project perfectly. With my IT company, i do project management, so ive gotten used to blowing past initial deadlines and setting realistic ones.

The only deadline that has past was i ordered a new hood and bumper from chaser aero with the requirement that it would be in sometime in march. this was in january. i was assured that would easily be the case, and it isnt yet.

So i dont know if ill have my new hood and bumper installed and painted by then. :-/ its all good compared to what else could go wrong.
