Arrow Precision turbo and engine anybody?

Alright, I want to get a turbo for a half bridgeported motor, which turbo would go nicely and produce good numbers. I want to have something in the range of 500rwp at maybe 17-20 psi. Something around the size of a turbonetics t-70 and that would spool as fast as their ball bearing turbo or maybe the HKS t-51 kai ball bearing unit.

has any body used a turbo made by this company, how is the quality and which turbo would you suggest.

Also which wastegate would be optimal for the turbo you suggest.
Click on the link below to visit their website, so you can help me out.

Precision Turbo and Engine website

Thanks for your help any suggestest are appreciated!!

93 rx7. with 1600 cc injectors and will go with either 850s or 1000s. All the other necessary mods. What I am just wondering is which would be the best turbo for my set up and if anyone on the forum has used one of their turbos. I want to know if they are a quality product and which one I should use.

Perhaps the PT70GTQ? Although there isn't a compressor map for it...

Thanks for the ideas, but has anybody used a turbo built by precision. With the half bridge I don't think I will have a lot of trouble spooling a bigger turbo, especially if it is a ball bearing!

Im planning on using a Precision unit for my 13B RE, i was thinking of the PT67GTQ. For the power you are looking for I'd say go with the PT70 through the PT74 which ever one you choose definetly go with the Q trim.

dvls-7 do you know the quality of these units? As compared with turbonetics, hks and so on... I don't want to have it break in a couple months because it wasn't balanced correctly!!!

As far as ive seen, they are very good. Theres a couple cars that i know personally with them and the owners are happy with them, one of which is a full drag Honda making close to 700hp.

We use all Precision turbos for all our cars. Harry the owner helps us
design the turbo to fit the application. What he says will happen for
spool and HP so far has been right on!!!!

I just bought a turbo and wastegate from them, looks very very nice! I havent installed it yet though. Its a T04S 60-1 and a Tial wastegate too. I know Lee Howie, and he uses all precision turbos, one of them is boosting a 6.20 second corvette. So I'd trust the company.

I had a t70 .96qtrim. Went to a gt67,.81ptrim from
proturbo[precision made it] has a ported shroud.
I freaked out on the thing. Spool was obviously
faster[.81] but it also kicked the t70s butt up top.
Fact is I maxed the fuel system on lower boost and
popped motor. I can't give you #s but it was an
easy 375-400rwhp at 1bar. Precision says sweet
spot is 22-23psi. A buddy with a 10 sec 2nd gen
had it built for me and said it is what he is going to.
He says it is a 600whp turbo at around 27psi. on
a 13b.

I'll be running a PT67 GTQ .81 Qtrim, I think it is good for ~450-500rwhp on a street port @~25psi. Here is a link to the car itself.

What do you think of the PT 70 GT-Q or 71 or 72 for a Half Bridge Ported 13B

Here are the specs of the different turbos

850 PT-70 70mm 2.756" 3.502" 62 4" / 3"
-360 Race Tan .68 .81 or .96 P-trim 2.920" 2.542" 76
-360 Race On Center .69 or .85 GT-Q 3.110" 2.675" 70

880 PT-71 71mm 2.795" 3.850" 52 4" / 3"
-360 Race Tan .68 .81 or .96 GT-Q 3.110" 2.695" 70
-On Center .69 or .85 GT-Q 3.110" 2.695" 70

900 PT-72 72mm 2.850" 3.850" 50 4" / 3"
-360 Race Tan .68 .81 or .96 GT-Q 3.110" 2.695" 70
-On Center .69 or .85 GT-Q 3.110" 2.695" 70

What AR should I use and should it be Tan Divided or On center.

When should I be able to see 17 lbs of boost.

Also where can I get a manifold for this turbo, and which wastegate would be best.

Thanks

Edan

Go with Tangential divided... 1.00 A/R with GTQ wheel

The A/R numbers you listed are for collected housings...
