I love running open wastegate, I'll probably never plumb it back in...nothing is going to help the noise this car makes on the big end.

AGREED! My Apexi kit turned out to be fairly difficult to plumb back in so I didn't do it to start with. Figured I'd enjoy the noise and free giggles for a while, then take care of it. Well it's about 10 years later......

Frankly I'm amazed cops haven't ever pulled me over it. And it sure is priceless for showing distaste for someone when they do something stupid in front of you. Or slapping the grin off the sideways-hat-wearing lean-out-the-open-window punk that wants to race. I was amused one day when I was on the dyno and the cops showed up and threatened to shut the place down over noise complaints (in an industrial zone)... To each their own. But if it makes you giggle like a kid, how can it be wrong!

I have always liked the idea of a separate small muffler on the dump pipe. Instead of routing it back into the downpipe exhaust, having a separate pipe and small muffler for the wastegate. One off a bike would work well.

Here's my car with an open wastegate...even let off as the car was being passed so it didn't blow their windows out

Just based on gut, I'd guess mid to high 400 RW unless your tires are just bald. Comes on nice!!

Running a set of 275 Azeni RT615 on out back. I'd like to go bigger one of these days. 20+psi should be interesting.

Since we're all posting videos... Here's one I took of mine (with open WG and 4" PFS Exhaust from midpipe back) when it was dynoed at 13-14psi and 404rwhp.

Was running 19.5psi and 469whp/370tq before the engine let go. Will have more vids soon as I'm about to get her back from the rebuild...

Unfortunately you can't really hear the WG opening until about the 1:00 mark, prior to that the tuner is just crawling through the gears till 4th gear.

That guy in the back must have bloody ears now! Loving the videos. Nice to hear there's other idiots out there that have the sick appreciation of the horrible noise too!

Haha, yeah. I noticed that he covered his ears after the fact. I think it's a bloody brilliant detail! lol..

That being said... a full 4" exhaust is enough noise for me, and I'll be having my WG plumbed back into my DP when she leaves the shop this time.
