Need some help.... R2D2's not making noise!
OK, I just got my Sard R2D2 BOV, and I installed it, used some ghetto home depot pieces for now (until I build the front mount, because I don't want to weld the BOV to a temp. pipe...)
Anyways, I got it all hooked up, and it is working, but it's not loud at all. You can only hear it if someone revs the engine your ear is about 2 feet or closer to it. Does anyone have the Sard R2D2 instructions in english? I have the manual, but it is all in japanese..... I'm thinking maybe I have the spring adjusted wrong?
Or since the stock BOV hole on the 2nd gens IC pipe is 3/4", and the R2D2's inlet is 1", could that make a difference?
It's very quite, at full boost (7PSI or so), when you let off you can faintly hear it...
Any idea's? Anyone have one of these?

it may be designed that way. some bov's, especially tials, are extremely quiet by design. that means they're actually doing their job efficiently. i've never been around a car with an r2d2 on it, so i'm not sure if that's how they are tho

I heard someone say that they sounded like blitz DD, but much louder.... It sounds good (from the noise I heard). It's just like they explained it! I nice smooth, clean, whhhooooossshhhh.....
I think it may be quit because it's on a stock turbo with rather low boost??? I didn't think about that until my brother mentioned it....

I T'd it off of the pressure sensor line....
The T was acctually already there when I bought the engine from an exporter, and the BOV was missing (along with that entire section of the IC piping.) And this is the place were it is going to read absolute pressure from the engine (seeing as how the pressure sensor is hooked to it.)
Seems like a good place. I would have put it on one of the vacume nipples on the TB, but I don't think any of those pull a strong enough vacume.

Yes, the branch off the T is always less than the direct path.
I ran into this problem tyring to get some TurboXS BOV's to work in CZ.
I couldn't figure out why it wasn't working very well; the turbos were compressor surging!
Once I saw the T, I know what was wrong.

Switched it around, and it seems to be working a little better (by my hearing.) But I'm usually to exited by the feel of the car to watch the boost gauge (it's aftermarket...), to see if it is still surgeing at shifts. I dought it is though, cause I can hear it.... I'll watch for it one day when the roads are dead
