Need advice on making 54mm hole in 316l stainless
Hi. I'm making a turbo manifold from 316L sch10 2" butt weld fittings. can someone tell me what they use to make the large holes in the runner where the wastegate runners would connect?

Keep the infeed pressure on the bit anytime it is touching the stainless so it is cutting.
If you run the bit over the stainless surface without enough pressure to cut it work hardens the stainless and it becomes a real chore to complete the cut.
Sharp bit, low speed, continuous pressure, keep it cooled.
