Well, over 1 month ago. I paid Darkphantom $1400 in full for his turbo kit and used act clutch. 1 days later he sends me a PM saying the shop dropped his turbo and it cracked the housing. Um, ok? So he tells me that he is going to send the turbo out to be repaired and that he will still send me the clutch. He refunds me $1360 and keeps $40 to cover the cost of shipping the clutch.

I wait on this turbo for over 1 month to no avail. He makes false promises saying I will get it by this and this date. He takes days to respond to me Pms. Sometimes he ignores them. As of today, I still have no clutch (That he said he would send out a while ago) OR the $40 that I was shorted on OR no response as to if the turbo even came back from being rebuilt.

I have been more then patient with him on this issue. He seems like I nice guy, but as you can see, he is hard to contact and super flakey.

 

How did you pay for the items? I hope it was via pay pal...

 

When he tried to sell me the turbo he actually told me that he was selling his car and everything due to financial reasons so I'm a little surprised at how much is being spent according to this thread.

Ive been posting in your thread because you have been ignoring me for over 2 weeks. You cant deny this either. I also bought a new clutch 3 days ago because its been over 1 month that you said I would get your clutch in. I wish you would have just kept in contact with me and kept me updated. You just blew me off.

Like I said, I have been more then patient with you and your false promises about the turbo (that I instant paid for) and the clutch. You ignored multiple PM's. Someone posted here about what happened with the transaction and I simply told the truth.

Phantom where is your mechanic at I have never heard of him.. The guys I know of down here are mazdapros, turbo clinic, alex and Carlos lopez, and dragon motorsports.. Half of them aren't even in business anymore or won't be for long so I'm looking for other options in case I have to. I'm quite happy with Charlie at turbo clinc but u never know..

Lol sry bout that didn't even see it!! Not familiar with the name "ALS". Have they tested those billet rotors they made out on a street car yet?? Hope those seals are actually unbreakable lol let me know how that goes haven't heard of them yet.

After I got my 4" thick FMIC I started noticing some people talk about not going to thick and what not for intercoolers due to pressure drop and not being efficient as the air not cooling towards the back. I don't really know how to figure intercooler size properly for different set ups so I'm curious how you came to choose this thick of a core? Since you are running such a large turbo, is this not such a big deal/concern?

 

Phantom just let me know what day u go down there and I might just take the ride. My car is at charlie's so I might just stop there on the way down.
