The goal with the car is to run a 10 on 1/4 next summer

the LIFT is my best tool
If that was your goal then why did you change your whole setup for no reason? You could have easily been in the mid to high 10's on your pump gas tune.......

It´s funny, no fd has ever run a 10 here in sweden. Not even with a 899rwhp 20b in it, it was damn close tho a 11 blank. We have the hp but it hasn´t happened yet...
Hope to change that next season!

It's still december and a long time before the track opens here and if i know myself right my goals and expectations will change.. before you can run a 9 you need to run a 10 right?

Word!

So back to us swedes not being able to run 10´s

Fastest fd is ABIEX 20b powered one with a 11.00
Fastest 13b fd ran 11,273...

Hope that Gus and me can make all that change!

My build hasn´t even seen the track yet, nor have Gus´s. This season got pissed away by rain mostly!

Thank you.

Skill is not something you have, it is something you get doing things like this, one year ago i was in your position, then i bought my first welder and here i am. It is all about time and dedication.

don't waste more time, go get one yourself!

it is never to late

Thanks for your quick reply, but I've already tried that. There's some kind of hard
plastic on top of the tial bov and my 1/8npt to -4an fitting doesn't screws in all the
way and I'm afraid that that the plastic part will crack.

Maybe ya'll need to work on the suspension and driving part.... Horse power is the "easy" part.

And on that note, the OP would have an easier time running a 10.xx with 499rwhp then with his 6xx rwhp "monster" he is trying to build..... I can see it now 11.80 @ 137mph

I knew it was a stupid question.I thought the top side on the tial bov was some kind of hard plastic, but the color had me fooled. To be sure I tried to take a bite
on the top side where the npt fitting screws in and gues what? It's metal. So my problem is solved thanks to YOU.
My kindest regards and I hope you can get in the 10's.

U may have ato run a tap in there to open it up , since the threads are streight and most 1/8"NPT threaded fittings are tapered . Nice build , would be interesting to see when that animal will spool , whats the exhaust a/r ?

The thread is not pipe thread. IIRC it's 10mm X 1.0 but it is a straight thread. It's the same thread size and pitch they use on their wastegates.

just goes to show a good susp setup can work wonders

Yepp, I´m going to copy Jigsaw´s suspension setup. I´m 80% into dragracing but I do wanna try the track as well. So that setup with Ground control coilovers with tokico illuminas will be perfect for me I think!

Sorry Gus for the Hijack!! :P

Where did you get the really tight aluminum bends in 3" that you welded to the turbo compressor housing?

I need something like this but what I have found so far isn't even close.

Thanks in advance.

your car looked really fast already in the Youtube link

the T-78 didn't look very laggy at all, what RPM does the turbo spool?

you just need to work on your launch that's it!

i'm really suprised no one got 10's

perhaps it has more to do with suspension setup and a good 60 ft' etc then it does just raw power?

I liked the t-78, spool was not that bad... my tire pressure was way to high in that vid. I had stock diff/axles last year so didn't want to push it.

Just bought a diff, and stronger axles are on the list
