To4r

60-1,62-1 how are the differences?
Is the TO4R a 60-1.What do I measure to know. In other words a published flow rate for the TO4r was 75lbs....so I look on compressor maps I see this... attatched.
So mine looks like the same size compressor housing as most out there. I would like to be sure of what we get.Its not larger than my Gt40. I see the same housing castings and look.EC-1 M24 .70 WTF!The pic is the TO4R and smaller TO4E .81/ar.50

The T04R is not a 60-1. It utilizes a larger compressor wheel, 67mm inducer I believe. Measure the inducer (small diameter) and exducer (larger diameter) of your compressor wheel to know exactly what compressor is in your turbo.

The 60-1 is the only thing I have but will soon get the manifold but I stil haven't decided which to get along with my wastegate and DP.
Any recommendations

nice, Ive got a 60-1 as well and extemly happy with it (340Rwhp), but I think my Exhast house is a bit big and laggy, I dont get full boost till about 5k rpm.

As for waistgate Im running a 40mm and a 3' stainless steel DP, I did have a screamer pipe off the back of the waistgate but the cops busted me for it :P

Thanks for the picture rotoboy

Hey havoc how big is your exhaust housing?
I bet when your turbo boosts at 5K it pulls really hard.

yeh the exhast is a 1.15, it is very laggy but I find that when it is laggy I can drive it about and not get on boost constantly and its a lot easier to drive (most of my driving is city driving and I dont need to boost up from lights to next lights) but when I need the power I just have to wait, then its their, + when I change gears I fall back to 5g and it just smokes the wheels up LOL its bloody fun

I'll try and post my dyno curve later, have to find the sheet

I need help trying to decide what wastegate to get because I am
getting my manifold custom made but will need wastegate to see what flange etc...
What is good enough for a 60-1?

My mods:
Large Street Port with e-shaft oil mod
match ported LIM & UIM
just a few of my many mods
Thanx

I have a 40mm as well, Here are some pics of my setup. I went with .96 back side as well. The biggest they made for my turbo was a .68 so I had to buy a backside from turbonetics...

I changed from a 0.96 down to 0.84 hot side to make the boost more useable at 600 RPM sooner on my Turbonetics T66. Laggy turbo on the street is short-lived fun......

Thanks for the pictures MARTIN your FC looks tihgt *** hell.
I guess that is how my 60-1 would look in my engine.
What kind of power numbers are you getting out of that beast.

I am still not decided on what wastegate to get
Is bigger always better or does manufacturer (brand) make a difference?

I havent actually ran it yet. Those pictures were from the shop that is doing the intercooler piping. Bigger is not always better, too big of a wastegate and you could loose boost once it opens up. But if im correct you are ported right? a 50mm
would be good for the setup. Anyways vband is better than having a bolt on fange, you can get the flanges from ebay for like 45 for the whole set, I paid $85
for just the down pipe one and the clamp from turbonetics. The only problem with my setup is that the turbo sits too forward and doesnt allow for the afm placement.. Im thinking of just crossing over to a standalone, just for that reason.
Anyways enough talk from me, good luck, and be sure to send pics of the setup on the car.

The vband is just another way to mount things with out using bolts. But Almost everything from turbonetics is top notch stuff. So I doubt you would go wrong with them...
