mushroom intake filter
I can't fit a normal intake filter on my turbo because there is not enough room there. And my turbos inlet is 4", where can i find a hks or some sort of knock off mushroom intake. I can only find 4.5 and 3. Right now i have nothing, so something is better then what i have now. Thanks Jay

You're welcome. Found it a little cheaper.

You still might be able to find a knock off that is cheaper. I think the Blitz and HKS metal filters are fairly low profile as well. I've run into the same problem with my current setup.

I ordered my K&N from a local speed shop for about $45
4" ID
tappered from about 5" to 4"
And i think 6" long.
Fits perfect on my turbo and doesn't rub anuthing in the engine bay.
I get the part # and pix later

hmm.... do you have a pic of it? what turbo, manifold, instercooler are you running? And what is it rubbing on. with a regular (can style) filter mine would rub on the radiater hose. but sinse i got one that is smaller at the tip than the base, it fits with no problem of rubbing on anything(comes, close but doesn't touch)

All you need is a peice of tube and a 4" coupler - just have the tube bend at 90 degrees so you can fit any air filter on there. It has to be a really short pipe, but thats what i did before. Now I use a mesh filter... I don't like the shroom filters... heard horror stories. But then again, unless your turbo has enough power to suck in kids off the street, you'll be alright.
