more horsepower from rx6
I was thinking of going single, but I don't like the lag of the big turbo's. I was wondering if I could buy two Apexi rx6 turbo and get a custom manifold made along with a down pipe and all the other parts, and run as a twin set-up. How much horsepower would this set produce for an FD. Your thoughts please!

Have you ever been in or driven a single turbo 13b? I suggest you do one or the other before wasting thousands on a complex twin turbo system. The lag is NOT that bad.

I agree...you should actually drive a single turbo 7 first before you make an assumption about lag. Not saying that you can't make the manifold but it will be expensive. Custom manifolds like that usually run 1000+ even the FEED manifold is like 1500 and i'm not sure it has the same flanges that the IHI use.
400 rwhp is a fassssst Rx-7. What a rx-7 does with 400 rwhp takes a supra 600 so don't think let that number fool ya. Our cars don't need a hell lot of power to be fast as hell.

dude, youve got bigger problems to asses before even thinking about turbos. for example, running an intake, downpipe, midpipe, and cat back, on a stock ECU!
its people like you who give the FD an "unreliable" title.

These turbos are very good choices. That may be the reason you see so many using them. Different is cool, but also having s setup that is known to be good may produce less headaches.

Um, NO.......
If you want less lag then a single turbo, why would you think running two of them would make it spool faster???????????
The apexi rx-6 is suppose to be a great turbo where you get full boost by ~3-3.5K.. Where do you want boost by???? How much RWHP do you want?
A t04 60-1 1.15 A/R will spool about as quick as the RX-6 and produce a little less horse power... the RX-6 is a medium/large size turbo, that spools very quick..

Dude the Apexi has same or less lag than stock setup, what the hell are you asking for? Dual RX6's wouldn't really solve that ;-)
If it's more HP, thats understandable, get a T04r or some other t04 setup if you want more hp.
Or you could take a look at my VATN turbo post, very interesting yet still seem in somewhat baby stages.
