Master Power or OBX?

Maybe pardon my ignorance on this one but which is the better option? I am guessing the MP unit is? I have generally heard good things although some peple slate them.. Not heard to much about OBX though?

Any info greatly recieved.. I was looking at a MP37 (T04S) but have been offered a new OBX T04e cheap.

Dish the dirt!

Thanks
Lee

First off, I wouldn't recommend either... BUT if you want an opinion on which is better?.. well I would say the MP ones. I've heard nothing but trouble about the OBX.

I would stay away from both. Personally I prefer garrett turbos.

I am hearing some people raving about the MP turbo's and how quick they spool and they can make good power etc?? I would really like to see some first hand evidence of trouble had with the MP. Fair enough heard nothing but bad about the OBX! so you can keep that!

Thanks

I've got a masterpower t70 with only a few dyno runs and a ceramic coated hotside .96 that I will give you a good deal on.

Best thing to do is just do some searches. you will find my opinion on them as well as many others that actually ran the turbo. Most of the people that run the turbo and don't just have some favorite really seem to like the turbo alot. 500 can usually be obtained (depending on the port) anywhere from 20-22psi. If your interested let me know.

edit: by the way, the only reason I'm contemplating (very dependent upon if someone wants to buy the mpt70) buying a 1200 dollar borg warner instead of staying with the masterpower is because I have Puerto Rican friends that are a bad influence on me I know I'll be tracking this car a lot more than what I thought when I bought the masterpower unit. I believe the mp is good high power street aps but the shaft is not a large shaft like garrett etc... It's a bigger shaft but not a large shaft. I'll probably be using a two step that will be incredibly hard on any turbo so having one with a large shaft is important.

Stay away from *****man crap. (OBX, SSAUTOCRAP, XSPOWER, STONE MOUNTAIN, EBAY)

Get a used Garret, HKS, IHI or w/e turbo for cheaper used. (You will save money from not having your Glued on OBX turbo fall apart).

Thanks for that link Ivegonemad! I had seeen it already and it has some good comments! interesting.. but still leaves the point open! unfortunately the T70 is ont for me. I am going for the MP37 if I go that route.. Or HE1 Holset was another on that got thrwon up a few times when first started looking at this subject.

I have a street car that I am looking for a few more horses. nothing wild.. 400bhp at the flywheel I would be stoked with!
What's the limit on stock twins? Sure it's been bought up may times before. I should do a search!
