Looking for a responsive turbo for my setup

I got a 96 Bridgeported 13B with 850/1300 injectors.

I want to make about 400-450rwhp. I wouldn't mind going higher, but I'm willing to sacrifice a little hp for responsiveness.

I was looking at a Trust TD06SH 25G. I'm leaning towards that set up and it's within my budget, but I don't know how responsive it is.

So what I am looking for is comparison between turbos that will give me 400-450rwhp, highly responsive, and won't kill my bank like a T51R.

TD06 has too small of a turbine section for a bridge. I have seen several bridge cars try and run a smaller turbine housing, and they make less power than a standard port. How the bridge is cut probably has a lot to do with it too.

We have the perfect turbine for what you are looking for;

That will be very responsive but turbine might be a bit restrictive in the top end, TD07S has the same compressor with what looks like P trim sized turbine, probably a better bet with your bridgeport and will let it breathe a bit more.

I would go bigger than that in a bridged 13B myself

When looking at power remember rotary is only 3/4 rated piston power.

My key selling point is responsiveness. The car is going to be on the streets with some track use for drifting. I'm in Japan, and there isn't much room for me to go WOT on the streets. I'm also looking for turbo kits to keep it as easy as possible.

That TD61 is something I haven't considered. And it's much cheaper than the TD06 I was looking at. Definitely gonna consider it.

How is the TD61 compared to a Trust T78 33D or T88 38GK.

One of my friends (4kruzn on here) has gt35r 1.03 on his GT1 car. . .28lbs is very fun, couldn't take my eyes off the track to look at any gauges. . .so I can't tell you exactly when the power kicks in at. . .but this is what I would choose for your power goals. . .

Don't even consider a T51R. . .driven in a customers and it was ****. . .very disappointing. . .

What is your budget? Why haven't you considered anything from Garrett or Precision or other turbo companies?

At most for a turbo I'd spend 1.5k. But for a kit, I'll spend up to 5k.

The T51 is definitely out of the question. I'm not looking for a turbo that big.

It looks like I'm gonna be deciding from a GT35R or a T78. I see on RX7store the GT35R has a GTX upgrade for $550. What are the benefits/differences and what would the spool time be?

Gt35R has too small of a turbine section for a bridge. T78 is also pretty laggy, a good 500+rwhp turbo however. They are also very expensive to rebuild if you blow the turbine wheel( apex seal damage).

Your probably looking at a 67mm turbo with a p-trim turbine. Turbo's that posses this would be aspecs 500r, garrett's t04z, precisions 6765 etc.

Aspec's 500R-SP (0.86 A/R) kit would be under 4k but I think with a bridgeport you'd want the HP (1.00 a/r I believe). http://www.a-spectuning.com/html/products/gt500r.htm

This kit would work better then any of the turbo's you listed for your setup and goals in my opinion. 4" downpipe and/or open wastegate suggested.
