Demetrios K. (Reactive Racing) made 682rwhp and used the Kazz with no problems. He has since went to a Ford 9" rear, but never broke the Kaaz. Don't think any of you will be coming close to that kind of power. (except for me)....

Well I was planning on running a turbocharged LS1 with forged internals so it should put down a little more power than that and a lot more torque but I have had some people tell me that I could still use that LSD to keep my IRS. I sure hope that is true. I won't be doing very many hard slick launches at the track, it will mostly be a street car with track on the side. But if people are using them with that much power and NO problems, I should be ok I would imagine.

brian hinson didn't break the stock torsen diff until a 6000rpm launch with his ls1 (~600lb/ft at the wheels) with slicks. And since the kaaz is much stronger than that, it may be good for your setup.
however, depending on how much more torque you think you'll be making (close to 800lb/ft? if you are making a little more than 680rwhp then i would guess the torque would be around there.) it might be a better idea to go non-IRS.
is the Kaaz the strongest IRS differential available? or is there another even more expensive step up?
also, don't forget your $800/piece chromoly axles, you'll need those too.
