Injector Placement

I have a s413bt, Mild ported & Secondary bridge, High flow Turbo HT18, Turbonetics 40mm ?? Wastegate (waiting for it to turn up), Custom turbo manifold, FMIC, 3'' Exhaust, 1:1 rising rate fuel reg, Next on the list is eaither a bosch or walbro pump and x2 ID1000 injectors.

My problem is my microtech is slightly buggard, It only runs primary injectors, Secondarys wont work at all, It's not worth fixing but i want to run it for at least another year till i get another ecu or do somthing else.

With using only 2 1000cc injectors, Would you run them in the primary position (block) or fit them in the secondary position (manifold) To get the best out of them, Im not after mega HP or Boost .......... Yet, Opinion's ? Thanks.

I can't believe you're considering this. Do you need the car for a daily driver?

Toss the broken microtech in the trash, and don't drive the car until you can get it a properly working ecu.

What's next, try to run with only rear brake calipers?

If I had to give an answer, I would say the primary position. But I'm with Goodfella on this one.

Well, in theory, there's no reason you can't. I assume staged injectors only because they sucked realistically and it was far easier to control a tiny injector at idle than it was a larger one (at the time, specific to this application). With those that run ID 2000s at idle, that's more in just a primary injector than both primary and secondary.

That said, primary. Keep the injector as close to the motor as possible.

If you have a large enough injector for your goals, and you can control it, then why not remove the complication of plumbing, the sometimes large differences when transitioning, etc. Why not a single set of ID2000s?

No idea what size injectors the S4 13BT came with, but so long as what you're replacing them with is equal or greater than that, you should be OK.

And yes i will throw the micro in the trash one day and upgrade ......... Cheers.

Better throttle response in primary position anyway.

^ my concern is the sketchy Microtech more than anything else. I'm not really a Microtech fan because my original Zelda Nintendo cartridge from the 80s lets me save my game but a Microtech won't let you do that.
