IHI RHC7 .. opinions?
I found this turbo for sale from a local guy.. it was originally intended for a skyline GT-R... but was never used
I'm thinking of using it for my stock port FD as a good responding street turbo
it's supposed to be good for ~600 hp
i can't find much info about this turbo tho... even the IHI website is weak...
it's a T4 flange.. 0.78 A/R in the back...
the guy wants $550 for it..
will it fit on the HKS/Greddy Cast manifolds?

thanks for the replies...
how are IHI turbo's in general? are they reliable like MHI/greddy units? or fragile like some of the HKS ones?
so can it really handle 600hp as claimed?
I was looking to run it at around 1 bar...

IHI turbines
I have used IHI turbines extensivly for about 6 years. They were also the turbine of choice for Pan Speed and RE amamiya for about 8-10 years. the rhc-7 comes with several different configurations, however the one used the most with rotaries had the P18 or P19 exhaust housing which was a P trim wheel (P does not equate it just happens to be the same letters) with a split housing that was .78 or so.
the other common model read rb25, rb 26 or mega tuned SR 20 was the equivelant of a "o" trim wheel with a larger open valute houseing.
I recently swapped to garret due to availability (read pricing) of repair parts, the IHI turbines are as close to bullet proof as can be, but when the do need rebuilding they are expensive (at least here in Japan they are.
