HOW TO SINGLE TURBO MY s7 Rx7
Hey everyone, glad lm apart of this site. I have owned my 7 for 3 years now and am going single turbo as its cost me a bundle to maintain my twin set up.
Can someboady give me any sites that give you a step by step guide to a single turbo set up.
Right now i have
Greddy Type R BOV
Greddy Front mount
OBX Single Manifold
38mm Tial Wastegate
Apexi PFC
60-1 Turbocharger
I know basic mechanics, however i would get a pro to fit the electronic side of things ie- power fc.
I have no idea where vac lines go, which ones to get rid of etc and what to keep from the car and what to take out
Standard port engine and am hoping to make 400HP
Any tips etc. All the parts i listed above are sitting in my Garage
chEERS eVERYONE

Do a search, there are tons of topics on converting to single.
You're basically going to remove the whole rates nest and strip the car of any emissions related equiptment. Get a set of blockoff plates from kgparts.com or rx7store.net and then put them on the engine in the spots where you removed the blockoff plates. Leave your idle speed controller on so you don't have idle issues.
Bolt on the single turbo and then go from there. When you get to that point, things are pretty easy.
There have been many posts on a 'how to' single your car.
The power FC is easy - just pull the 4 pins, or clip the wires (go to the powerFC section of the ECU forum and they have a guide there) - and after that its plug and play. Just swap it with your stock ECU.. of course you'll need it tuned for your setup.
At least its a start..
