How loud is the bosch 044
I was looking at the bosch 044 for a intank replacement. I'm only aiming for 300-350rwhp on pump gas w/ my current turbo, but may look for 50 more hp later down the line.
I know this is still far less than this pump can supply, and which brings this thread to this forum.
This is for my daily, and I'd like it somewhat quiet, so I was wondering how loud the bosch 044's are compared to the winebros when ran intank.
I saw some people wrapping their pumps w/ some sort of rubber hose (fuel line that big?) to isolate it from the intank bracket, and that seems like a good idea.
Could that cuse the pump to overheat possibly?
Also wondering if I should be worried about unneccesarily heating up the fuel by recycling it from front to back at a far greater rate than a pump more adequately sized to my power needs.
Since I am increasing the full volume. This means my injectors would run at a lower duty cycle?
And this won't effect my gas mileage at all, since the injectors control the amount of fuel used and its just being dumped back into the tank?
My requirements are as follows
1) Use the stock supply and return line.
2) Run the pump intank
I would like the pump to not be too loud as I'm running a RB turbo back, and a quiet intake compared to most people.
Could I run it at a lower voltage since its such a monster of a pump to make it less noisey or am I totally over estimating the noise of it as an intank pump?
I'm running a FD pump right now, and was looking at walbros, but then remembered the 044.
I ruled out the supra pump as theyre too voltage dependent.
Thanks,
Ben Martin

Instead of surrounding the entire pump in rubber like a lot of people do, I'd just take radiator hose and cut out a strip thats about the same width as a hose clamp. when you use a hose clamp to attach everything just put the hose between the pump and any clamps. I think covering the entire pump is a bad idea. If your only wanting to get up to maybe 400rwhp I dont think you'll have any problem with just using a single walbro.
Get you a fuel pressure gauge and dont worry about replacing or adding fuel pumps untill you get to the point you are starting to loose pressure.
You'll be good to the mid 400 range with a single walbro unless your running a tiny turbo that requires you to run 25psi to make 400rwhp, but I dont see that happening hahah.
