Unless you have actually analysed the materials don't say their the same. I seriously doubt that the steel alloy used in the rods and bushings not to mention the high temperature rubber/silicon are the same. From all my work with overseas suppliers in my job. Knock offs do a great job of copying dimensions but a very poor job of copying the materials that the name brands use. This is one way they save money. Have the microstructures of the steel and the type of rubber/silicon used analysed then you can say they are the same. My bet is that the diaphragm will not last near as long as the that of a name brand. Don't get me wrong I am willing to buy some knock off items but when it comes to something that could hurt a turbo or blow my engine I'm not going to scrimp.

I've been trying to tell several people not to skimp on some things, and the wastegate is one of them. It's worth the extra money to buy a wastegate from a reputable company. Be it HKS or Tial. I personally refuse to put a questionable product in such a vital location.
