HKS racing gates

HKS racing gates
I have two brand new HKS racing gates that are different in appearance. One has a square input flange the other has a rectangular input flange.
IMO the square flanged one seems to be a better design, with the square flange you can mount the gate in four different positions instead of two allowing the outlet to face in more directions if needed.
Also the flange that seats the valve is thicker and has a better seat which shrouds the valve more.
With this one you also get inlet and outlet weld on flanges while the rectangular flanged type only comes with the outlet weld on flange.
The lower chamber that accomadates the valve also features studs to secure it to the flange as opposed to nuts and bolts for the other.
Having the studs instead of bolts running through the lower chamber frees up more space inside the chamber bowl, this makes it more smoother in shape and less restrictive. This is clearly visible when comparing both wastegates side by side.
So i would say that this is the later version which has been improved by HKS, but i could be wrong.
Anyone have any facts on the differences then post 'em in.Thanks.

I believe the square one is the HKS 50mm S/S Racing Wastegate while the rectangular one is the HKS 50mm Racing Wastegate. The S/S being made out of stainless steel and only fitting their Stainless manifold.

I needed one fast so i got it, the other one was a cancelled one from Jason, but there was a mix up with the cancellation and Jason sent it through with some other stuff i ordered, so i'll just hold onto it now, keep it for spare or something.
