Gtx42r dyno

i dont think they make much more power until your pushing them hard, so on the majority of cars, you wont see much of a improvment over the normal ones but i may be wrong so if anyone wonts to chip in go right ahead.

Well let me correct myself as Ernie has made 40 bhp more the he did on his gt42r and that’s also on the smaller GTX4294 as opposed to his last turbo a gt4202r!! And it spooled faster too

Yeah, its true they dont shine until high boost, but they really can handle the high P/R and maintain efficiency. They are more efficient at lower boost levels also, but the compressors arent magic. They just need to be pushed hard.

I don't have the dyno sheets for comparison. We were in a rush to get to the race. Ray did most of the adjustments after datalogging at the track. Funny, the car picked up 4mph by raising the boost just to 32psi in the finals. Im curious what it dyno's at. Gonna run 35psi this weekend at the Pan Ams.

Looking at the compressor map it peaks at 4.9 pressure ratio that’s like 58 psi (3.9 Bar) Nutts

35psi damn that’s gonna fly and it will still be 78% efficient.
Good times Ernie, welldone

I had one customer dyno from overseas, I'll see if I can find the info. Unfortunately I just might have lost a whole bunch of info as my hard drive failed so I've been trying to get all the info as well as customers info I can off of that hard drive.
