GT40R dyno sheet, finally

GT40R dyno sheet, finally
Well here we are. A dyno sheet as promised. Dave said that the dyno has very recently been calibrated and rebuilt, so it should be accurate.
One run is 12PSI, one 19 and the final is 22PSI.
I am happy with the numbers.
Maybe not. I cannot get it to upload. I will try later.
My 22PSI run yeilded 457HP and 376 torque.

Was that with a safe tune, cause that sounds a little low of the power numbers that I was thinking we would be seeing with the kit. I was hoping too see over 500 at the wheels around 20 psi...
Well looks like I will have to wait till I get it one the dyno to see

500 would be achievable maybe at 28-30PSI?
We compared similiar files on the dyno computer looking at comperable boost runs with T78s and GT35/40's from other peoples cars and the number make sense.
I think that there may be some inflated dyno sheets running around out there??
Still trying to get the sheet up and keep getting a database error. It's only a 36kbs file.
I'd like to upload my timing map too as soon as I can.

19PSI run, 404RWHP and 335 torque.
See the pattern? The numbers make sense.

Actually, I was a little concerned of my injector duty cycles approaching 90. I was seeing maximum duties in the 85 range at 22. I am running 4 1000cc injectors.
Just trying to play it safe.
And, my Profec B was cranked the whole way. I could have adjusted the sharpness, but then I would start to have spiking issues.
Man, 450 is plenty don't you think?

That does seem a hair on the low side but not way out of line, at 15% loss thats around 525hp not too bad, I don't doubt some runs are inflated. KD always seems to be lower than the others, be it dyno honesty or whatever, still in a avarage weight RX7 it's pretty close to a 5 to 1 hp to weight ratio nice for a street machine self tuned by it's owner.

BTW: what octane were you running? and did you tune it yourself?

The air fuels are very easy to tune on the ECU I have. It pretty much tunes the fuel automatically.
I plan to post the timing map as soon as the forum allows. I have it scanned in as a image file also.

Oh and 490+ at 22psi based on the 12psi run. Were you boys doing some major mixture changes or playing with timing ? Cause some of the differences in power (both up and down) are not corresponding with the changes in boost pressure. What power is that turbo good for on a 13B rotary ?

cool Zach not that many people here in the states run that ecu but its a great unit i hear. Did you use the "Autotune" feature? where it tunes itself? Im sure a couple of more dyno runs and a little more experience you can get those power #'s up higher!
again good to see your car on road especially with over 400rwhp!
