Here is a 3rd gear pull from tonight. This time I ran the boost control turned on but on the lowest settings. Very surprised it still pulled a little higher to 1.26 bars.

I reached 1 bar at 4472 rpm (.99bars) or 4559rpm (1.01bars).
I think you are looking at the speed verse boost on that pull.

You are right. I got that from your other thread were you said it was a 3rd gear pull.

So, how do you guys like your larger 4094R? Sure wish that turbo was out when I bought my kit. I'm ready to see some dyno numbers.

The turbo loves to flow. In direct comparison to the GT40r, it makes more power per psi. Spools a little slower than the Gt40r ( I had a custom compressor wheel on it) but it drives nice.

On my large street turbo it's not going to make 600rwhp at 27psi. But I will get it close!

Did you get your boost bleed down issue resovled?
Tony

well I may go get some base pulls this week on low boost (17.5psi on pump 93) but it will be awhile before I get any real numbers with c16. But I am very curious to see were it is now!

Thanks Rich!

So I confirmed last night it is a .9 bar spring. So either I have the 3 bar set up wrong or have another issue. I am going to try and find a one way check valve and run it inline to another boost gauge under the hood to confirm and compare..

Turn the controller off and see what you hit for the WG pressure.

Tony, I do not even have the controller in line. I am just running the side of gate to mani and top of gate vented! So it is not the controller.

A/R Ratio on GT4094R

I'm interested in buying one of these too. The spool up is very quick for such a large turbo!
Asleep, what is the A/R ratio (exhaust) of the GT4094R you tested here? 0.85, 0.95 or 1.06?

hmmm..... i should plot a log of my GT42 with the 102mm wheel not the 94, journal bearing not BB also

interesting

I used to run a PT67 (T04r) Ptrim 1.15 AR, and thought it was perty laggy for the size of the turbo compared to the 42 now.. which is a 1.01 hotside and a much bigger turbine

Anymore news Asleep? I made a few pulls on mine and best was 504rwhp at 22.5psi. I will post the dyno sheet as soon as it is sent to me. But I will mention I am not 100% in belief of the dyno as I was having issues the complete time. Rpms would match down low and then be differant up top. Also had a pull that I went to 7500 rpm (datloged) and they only showed me going to 6k?? The I looked at my log again and saw a spot were I went from 7500rpm to 7020rpm and then back up. May be an ignition read era?

I just tuned a car with this turbo and it made 505 rwhp at 20 lbs. Full boost was around 4500 rpm. We did a pull at 21 lbs and it was around 525 RWHP.

Answers to PM's and messages above...the graphs were with the .95 AR. I have a 1.06 AR waiting.

Mike,

Nothing new. I am enjoying the car and putting miles on it. About 6K this summer so far. I need brakes so no racing the last month or so. Car pulls harder after fine-tuning on the street. The car is ready for another dyno session in the cooler weather.

I would like to investigate a new wastegate, possibly a new manifold or better optimized WG placement, a new 4" dp with the 1.06 AR, WI, and a couple of other things that I need to test before commenting on.

Since the RL Traction Control is working great, I may cut down in tire width and size...the 315's are BIG. I needed it for traction before the TC was working. Sure saves on tire life as well.

Tony
