GT35/40R is the same as a GT35R??

Been searching, looking at turbos and the GT35R looks pretty good. I figured the GT35/40R would be alittle bigger. Uses a GT40R compressor side right? Wrong!! I went Precision's site and they list there GT35R turbos with the exact same specs as ATP's GT35/40R.

http://www.atpturbo.com/Merchant2/me...egory_Code=GRT

http://precisionturbo.net/turbocharg...tegory_id=3023

Am I missing something here? Or did they mess up on there listings?

The 35/40 is a 35R, I have explained this in depth on the how and the why but in simple terms it is a slang term some of which has to do with the larger compressor cover. ATP is smart in that they list it as a 35/40 becuase that is what everyone was calling it back three years ago, I still have people call me everyday wanting a 35/40 I then have to let them know it is actually a 35R And I can beat both there prices on the turbo.

so there is no such thing as a GT35/40? Just GT35/40R? Basically what I'm asking is if they come in non-ball bearing

Zero-R, I have heard from some garrett dealers recently that garrett has stopped production of the GT35R. Is this true?

Your turbine housing is 1.06, the why behind it is the turbo spools up real good as it is, there is no need to choke up the top end with a .82 housing. There is no .86

There is only the GT35 or GT35R by Garrett standards, No GT35/40 or GT35/40R they are one and the same. Do you want non-BB??
