Well, maybe in a 3rd Gen with some big sticky rubber under the back! But in my 1st Gen, i'll be lucky to get 400rwhp to the ground! Slicks will be needed on the track to make sure i go forward and not just sideways!

You reckon spray VHT out from under the front bar as you're going along to get the extra traction huh?

In this case the turbo and possibly the manifold has everythinh to do with that torque curve...not engine ports. If Ralph were to install a "normal" size turbo :-)curves would change completely....powerband would come on much earlier.

Hey Ralph, did yo trying dynoing past 8krpm???
I bet there's some more there......

Congrats on the crazy numbers.....you gonna need to re-learn onhow to drive a car with that power !!!:-)

with the power coming in that late, have you guys thought about using a shorter manifold and trying to get it to spin faster to try to broaden the powerband out? wouldn't help anything in the low end but might give some more usable rpm's to work with up top?

great work reguardless.

what kind of porting and internal work has been done to the motor?

Actally the longer the runners are, the more it helps spool and low end torque.

Porting becomes useless once you're running high boost levels.

so a stock port motor @ 30psi is going to produce the same hp as a bridgeport @ 30psi? i don't think so.

Last I heard, the motor was a Pineapple Racing engine. When I dyno'd last with my GZ LIM with a stock port engine, I too made peak rwft lbs at 7k rpms. CJ

Power can be defined as air in/air out. You might be able to flow 30psi on stock ports and a GT35R, but try pushing 30psi with a GT60 Garrett... Dont get me wrong, it will still flow, but how well?

That is why I have my RE cosmo fully bridge ported for the GT4788...

Yeah, I'm going to be maxing out my HKS T51R KAI in february when Kan comes to tune it.

I doubt it will make it but I'd like to shoot for 35psi.

I just talked to Masaki at Apexi USA, and he is sending an AEM 5bar map sensor to Japan for testing. so hopefully next month we will have a good calibration for the AEM 5bar map sensor.

Porting(hopefully someone who knows what there doing) will allow more cfm.
More air will equal more power, especially at high boost! This is basic physics.

BTW i wasnt' aware garrett made a GT4788? Where are you getting this from?
Is it someone else selling it with a different name, because its not a true garrett if it's labeled GT4788.

They make two different GT47's, 4708 and 4718.
Also what kind of power are u trying to make?
