I have been doing a lot of looking around and there are several kinds of aquamist kits to go with. So the question is, which one should I go with?

Electromtoive has always been junk for the rotaries, this is old news guys.
sorry for the rude wake up call..
very nice buildup though. this front mount i/c unlike goodfellas will have cooler intake temps due to its location. the cooler the intake air temps guys the better it is across the boards..

I have been trying to figure out how to wire everything and all I can say is this is way over my head. I could use some help on the wiring guys.

i've wired a few electromotives if you want to PM me, i also don't know anything about the claim of them being crap for rotary.

I talked to Ray Wilson at PFS and he said something along the line of "that sounds like a grounding problem". So as of now I dont think I will worry about it that much until it happens. A problem I just ran into is that RX7 store doesnt sell the counterweight with the exedy twin plate like rotary performance does. So which means I cant get my twin plate mounted until I get one. I have to have it together so that I can take it to MN this week since Im not smart enough to wire this standalone.

After working nights at Stix37867 house with the help of his car lift. We got as much done as we could before I have to take it to MN to get the standalone wired. I was told that the car should be running in just a week. So that means after more than three years of not being able to drive my car I will be able to drive it onto the trailer instead of pushing it. I ended up just running the single fuel pump for now for the fact the funds ran out. I will just have to do that this winter along with the water injection and a roll cage.

when they wire it up might want to ask them about your aux inputs/outputs and any future options down the road you might need them for.
Saves a lot of time down the road when you can just plug a wb in instead of having to rerun wires in a loom or whatever device you want (turbo timer etc).

The ECU is excellent from my personal experience. It is made in the US. Each time I have called them, they have answered the phone and tried their best. Their engineers post on the electomotive forum and are willing to help. If you have an issue, you send it to Virginia and you get the ECU back in the same week. Try that for those other ECU's in Austrailia! Ernie and I have talked about his experience. His ECU would get feedback. I had the same problem and high rev's on the rotary. I installed a better ground for the waste spark and never had the issue again. I ran my car this entire racing season and the car has performed flawlessly with the same ECU you claim as junk.

Anyhow all ecu's have pros/con's just pick one that your most familiar with and have good support for...

Not to mention that there's so many variables regarding installation....I'm sure on a bench in a laboratory that anything will work flawlessly! But in the real world where corrosion and human error enter the equation you're bound to end up with weird issues from time to time.

I cant say anything about it just yet. The reason that I had gone with this unit was for the fact that it has a what I would call a safe system. Which means you just cant log into it and change things. I have a lot of friends that have tried to do that and have blown up the car or just really messed things up. Also for the fact I have really expensive taste.
It sounds like it will be another couple of weeks before my car is done. The shop I took it to said it will take a little longer than he planned. Im fine with that as long as its done rite. I talked to Steve Kan yeasterday at a tuning in Iowa. He told me that the unit will work great and cant wait to tune it.

Is that what you are refering to as "safe system" or is there another feature?

^^^^ When I talked to steve this last weekend. He said something along the lines of if you dont have the old map backed up he would have to start over from scratch. From what I got from that was when you log into they system it wipes the old map out. Im probably wrong so dont take my word. The only thing I do know is that I bought it and someone else is putting it in.
