just wondering, with a street port and the 1.06, assuming everything else was the same with the FMIC and all the rest, would there be a significant increase in hp compared to his numbers at the same psi? and what kind of exhaust setup would work best with a single setup like this?

the turbo starts building boost at around 2500rpm, maybe earlier, and reaches full boost between 4500 and 5000rpm. This is on my low boost setting of 10psi. I have yet to drive it on high which is set at the 15.5. This turbo is very responsive and i think is very comparable to the stock sequential setup.

I think Dave started getting on the throttle somewhere around 2200-2300 rpm. Also, i am using a PFC.

I have dynoed the GT3540 turbos as well.
To be honest I don't think this dyno reflects the capabilities of the GT3540 very well. You should see 10psi before 4000rpm and 20psi before 4500rpm. (Note: this is from a mildly ported motor, and a decent exhaust system of course!)
As AJC13B mentioned this turbo is an awesome one for the street due to excellent response of the turbo (minimal lag). In rolling runs from say 40mph one can go WOT and be on boost very quickly. I have done this in comparison to a lot of quick cars on the street and you can pull car lengths while they continue to spool up The curve is also nice and smooth so that transition of power is not as sharp, this appears to help limit traction issues (well, a little bit anyway)
Still 400rwhp (dynojet) is nothing to sneeze at Enjoy the car!

how the tuner dynos the car has a big part how a dyno graph will show boost spool-up..gear, rearend ratio, when the tuner goes full throttle..etc...theres sime variables there need to be taken into consideration

40oz. that seems more reasonable and what I would expect from this turbo. Thing is, Toy's dyno graph says he's making about 75hp at 3000rpm. I've seen TO4S graphs where people are making 100+. Perhaps again, it's coming down to how Dave is driving it on the dyno, but from what everyone describes, there should be more hp down low.

I hit 10psi way before 4000rpm on 3rd and 4th gear. 2nd gear may be around 4krpm too!
That's without the boost controller turned on on a 10psi spring (natural spring tension).
You can't compare psi to psi since we're talking about 2 completely different turbos (Gt35/40 and stock twins). The GT turbo will flow more air than the stock twins, especially the tiny primary turbo.
If you want low end torque and quick boost response, stick with stock twins and stock engine ports.

I'm still getting used to the car...and not getting to drive it very often is not helping.
I'll try to take the car out this weekend and run some tests...also have a passenger to moniter the guages.
What kind of info exactly do you guys want to see/answered?
Honestly though, if you guys aren't out looking for big numbers but rather a good responsive street setup, i would recommend this unit.

Once again, anybody know the price difference between this and the RX6. Looking at the dyno curve, I would guess that the response and power output are nearly identical.

all these #'s have been with the Power FC (correct me if im wrong)

I think comparing it with a RX-6 is only good if you concider the resonsiveness the 35/40 will way out perform it at the top end, and that's what makes it such a great street setup.

I haven't figured out why nobody else seems to make 400+ RWHP on the RX6.
Shoot, I made around 370 RWHP at 15psi with my remanufactured Mazda engine and the "purple" computer running horriblly rich.
Maybe its all the time I spent on the dyno and the fact that I am now running a big street port from RE Wing and that the Haltech was tuned by Matt. Because it is definately not the 89 octane fuel.
Compaired to my RX6 the results seem similar. In terms of response, I made 300 RWHP right at 5000 rpms and 417 RWHP max. I think its almost perfect for daily street use.
Anyways, its good to see another great turbo setup on the market. I still wish there was a bigger turbo that would just "snap" into my current setup... just for race day.
