IL garrett turbo from a 7.3 powerstroke

I have a garrett turbo from a 95 Ford Power Stroke turbo diesel truck with about 60,000 miles on it. It has a hot side or 1.15 & compressor side of 1.10. I was planning on using this on my 13b-re, that will be street ported w/ a bridge port. I plan on using this car on the street more than anything. I want to know if this turbo is even worth using. If i can use this turbo for what i want, what size injectors should i be using? I plan on using a Power FC, but I am looking for opinions. Any help would be appreciated. Tanks

i've used that turbo before, it's going to take a little modification to make that turbo work as the turbine housing is facing strut tower(i call it backwards). the turbo itself is very responsive, full boost was like about 3000 rpm. never dynoed the car cause the turbo didn't last long. i liked it though.

measure the inducer and exducer on both the compressor and turbine wheels and post them up.

My bad, it will have a bridgeport. I was thinking of other things as I was typing.

measure the inducer and exducer on both the compressor and turbine wheels and post them up.
I will try to measure them sometime this week.

They are reverse units, but decent. Also you can swap the stock compressor wheel out for the Garrett wicked wheel....will pick up a good bit of power and no change to the comp cover. Very popular upgrade.

Thanks killahrx7 & Turbodriven for the information. I will look into the Garrett wicked wheel that Turbodriven talked about. Any idea on what kind of hp this turbo is good for?

arghx I will post the measurements up later today.

Thanks again.

Yeah. The compressor housing is also a v-band.

just make sure its not a variable geometry turbo because IIRC some of them were and they dont last with the heat of rotarys.
