Garrett GT4088R vs. HKS TO4R
#26
no no no.. I was in no way trying to compare or cars. Just simply saying larger compressor wheel should yield more power. I think more than anything having Ray build and tune your car is the ticket. He has been producing some big numbers! I have considering taking my car to him but its a haul from Alabama. I did email them a few weeks back but did not get a return response??

whats the most anyone on here has made with a 4088r? I have not kept up but a few years back Zkeller made 460'ish at 22psi I think. It was a very mild port. Not sure on manifold. Who is greg? Did he make 600 on a 40r?

No, Greg(BLitzed33 on here) has an upgraded compressor wheel(66mm instead of the 61mm that came in it) in a R85/Borg Warner S300 turbo. When he had the 61mm wheel, he made 561 @ 27 or 28 psi on c16 and a street ported PFS built motor. After he upgraded to the 66mm wheel, he made 610whp @ 28psi and c16 on the same streetported motor. So, that leaves me believing that with my 63.5mm compressor wheel and 28psi on c16 and the full bridge ported PFS built motor, I should at least see 600whp. Ray also just tuned a TO4R PFS built full bridge and it made 562 @ 19psi on c16. I just don't see why it would even take 9 more psi for me to make 600whp. I mean if a TO4R can make that kind of power, why can't my GT40R do it? I guess time will tell.

ok. Well glad to here this. I really expect a huge differance since I am going from the old 40r and running a short runner mani to long runner with 4094.. Cant wait to see this thing sing on the dyno..
