Garret GT3582

Hi..

Now it is the second time my HKS T04R is broken so i am looking for a nother turbo who will fit my setup.

I have been looking at a GT3582R BB turbo with a T3.
Can i please get some feed back on the T3 on a 13b-rew engine...??
Is it ok to put a T3 instead of a T4..???

I have heard that a T3 is not so good because of to much heat from the engine.
If not the GT3582 BB, What should i been looking for..??

I did also look at this turbo (Look at the Super T70 turbo) . Is that to cheap or is it ok...???

http://www.ssautochrome.com/level.itml/icOid/1489

Does anybody have experience with that turbo..???

Here is my setup:

I have a little streetport engine with:
HKS T04R full turbine kit
HKS frontmounted intercooler
HKS Twin plate clutch with lighter flywheel
HKS Hiper exhaust
HKS Manifold
HKS injector pipe
HKS 2 x 1000 cc injectors
HKS Twinpower
HKS Blowoff
HKS Racing wastegate
HKS Intake filterkit
HKS EVC (boostcontroller)
HKS gauges (oiltemp, boost)
HKS turbotimer
HKS spark plugs
B&M shortshift
Fluydine radiator
Bilstein suspension with lower springs
3" exhaust all the way, no cat
3 bar mapsencor
MF2 fuelsystem

Thanx

SS Autochrome turbos have a bad reputation. Some people have had bad experiences with the housings themselves, some people have had issues with the internals. It's sort of a mixed bag of crappy parts. I wouldn't take the risk, personally.

Also, I don't think a T3 turbo would fit on the HKS manifold without an adapter, and you'd be better off going with a T4 turbo anyways. If you're looking for cheap, Masterpower has improved their quality quite a bit recently, and you can grab a 60-1 for about $800. It all depends on what kind of power you want to make.

Thanx for the fast reply.

I did expect the SS auto made some poor turboīs, but it is allways good to know what people has for experience themselves.

I am just tired of bying expensive turbo when it do not last for so long, if you know what i mean.

I can not get the GT40R here in Denmark so that is why i have been looking for the GT3582 BB. I will try to look on the net again for some turbo again...

www.Phoenixturbo.com (GT40R isn't listed on their site, you'll have to call for it)

Toll free #: 1-877-23-TURBO

Ask for Ken. He has ONE GT40R left in stock (I just bought the second one he had hehe ). Give him a call, i'm sure he can ship it to Denmark. It's $1,999.00 shipped.

That "GT3582R BB turbo with a T3" youīre talking about, on these shores itīs known as the good olīGT35R sonny. Do a search about it, itīs been discussed ad nauseam on this forum. Better yet, go here:

https://www.rx7club.com/single-turbo-rx-7s-23/gt35r-t4-divided-available-419742/

were you will get to know more about the T4 divided housing for the GT35R, or "GT3582R" as you know it.
