Fuel line & BOV ?'s

I am installing the RX7.com fuel rail w/1600's and the SX FR. I have already installed the RFP. I am running PFC w/datalogit. Any suggestions on the following?:

1. Any issues with the 1600's? dependability?

2. Do 90 degree elbows in line inhibit fuel flow?

3. What type of thread sealant do you all recommend?

4. I tapped the Primary "out" to the Secondary and am installing a straight or 45 elbow. Any problems there?

5. I am keeping the stock 550 primaries. Bad idea?

OH yeah...

The set up I have has the BOV on the far end of the IC. The IC is a very large NPR or similar. This was a horizontal mount on a car a purchased. Ideas?

Thanks.

OK...one specific ?

The HKS BOV is located just before the outlet of the IC on the end of the tank. Nice weld and transition.

I have seen comments on pressure drop, etc. But I would think that the the chamber is pressurized and it would not matter where you put the BOV. Comments?

I've been running them for 3 years without difficulty.

2. Do 90 degree elbows in line inhibit fuel flow?
I don't believe they would significantly affect the flow, depending on the type of elbow. Bottom line is you have space restrictions to work with so you may not have much of a choice.

Don't have a recommendation,

4. I tapped the Primary "out" to the Secondary and am installing a straight or 45 elbow. Any problems there?
Don't see one.

I've been running the 550 primaries along with my 1600s. No problems. I would recommend getting them balanced (RC Engineering) while you are in there to make sure they are up to snuff, don't leak etc.

1. Not that I am aware of as long as you use the correct resistor and set up the PFC right.

2. Probably not.

3. Do not use teflon, gasoline breaks down teflon and little pieces could end up floating around in your fuel system. On NPT fittings I use a black GM thread sealant. You do not need any sealant on the AN fittings.

4. If you are using your stock oil injection nozzles the vaccum fittings by the fuel rail get in the way, I had to use a 90 degree NPT fitting there.

5. Depends on your porting/turbo size and boost you want to run. For idle and cruising purposes it is not a bad idea to keep them stock.

I can't comment on the bov other than if you are running a turbo large enough to require the 1600cc injectors I hope you have two of them (assuming it is the SSBOV).. may not flow enough on high boost and cause compressor surge.
