A few pics of my GT42 install
Here are a few new shots of my car with the GT42 going in. The turbo manifold is done along with moving the intercooler to a front mount and redoing the end tanks. I finally got the manual rack in and the Aerospace drag brakes are on all 4 corners. The intake manifold is next and will be pretty damn sick. It's going to look like our Supra manifold that all the highest hp and fastest Supra's in the country use. It'll be connected to a GroundZero lower mani. I've also got the GroundZero oil pan which is a really cool piece that's going on in the next couple of days.
The TH350 is all mounted in place with a starter and driveshaft being the only 2 pieces left for the drivetrain.
We're making a new wiring harness next week and if all goes well hope to have the car running within a month.
The turbo is a 42-76 and will have our surge delete mod that we're doing for all the Supra's. If you haven't seen it then you need to. It looks really trick! I'll post some pics of that later on.

I hope you were asking about the turbo manifold

Your going to have a hard time running an 8 second 1/4. The turbo is good for about 650rw. You'll probably need some spray on top of the GT42 to run 8's
Still though, it looks great and I'd love to see it lay down some 8's

BTW - The standard GT42 from Garrett comes with a 5" dp outlet and most places modify it to work with a 4" dp.

rotary makes approx 20% less than a piston engine with the same airflow. Its marketed to support up to 1000hp, by the time you convert that to rotary power then factor in drive train losses it comes out to about 680rwhp maxed out. From what I've seen this number seems to correspond pretty well to real word. Mid 600's seems to be a good number to count on, the reason I said more like 650rw for his is due to the extra drivetrain loss form the automatic tranny.

SPOautos: We've layed down 1035rwhp on boost alone with this turbo and it wasn't maxed out.....this was on a Supra. We've got videos of that run if you want to see it. I'm thinking around mid 600's to the wheels through the auto without spray so your not too far off. I am going to spray it though so we'll have to see. The Virtual Works personal car ran a 8.89 with 870rwhp on a 74gts and it weighs 3600lbs. My car will weigh 1000lbs. less but have less hp so it should be pretty close. I also have the TH350 with a bunch lightened on rotating mass to free up drivetrain loss. The converter i'm using is going to be the trick just like it was on the VW car.
Nobody believed we were running the times we did with the power it put down. It's all in the setup
I'm running a 4 1/2 SS exhaust from turbo back. The outlet is 5" but we just taper it down to 4.5 The inlet is 5" and will have a custom cold air pipe made. The compressor wheel is 102mm if i'm not mistaken.....i'll double check. That's the number that 1st popped in my head.
