Also, I am not comfortable using the original pulsation dampner that came off this motor. Was curious if aftermarket rails need a pulsation dampner or do they come with one? Just don't want to spend the hundreds of dollars on a new one just to not need it in a few months whe
I go to standalone with bigger turbo, injectors etc.

http://fc3spro.com/TECH/MODS/FUEL/fsystem.htm you can see the fuel line goes straight to the regulator,no dampener..(it's in the Reg anyways).
Solenoid removal..Hmm..I took the Big piece of tubes, gaslines, etc off the engine, and threw it ..
Took the colorful connectors, and chopped the wires, taped each one, tucked them into the harness and retaped.

Thank you black knight for that info! Sounds like buying aftermarket rails and aftermarket fuel pressure regulator will end up costing about the same as an oem pulsation dampner from mazdatrix which is sweet.
And misterstyx, that's pretty much all I thought there was to it but always nice to double check before I start chopping wiring.
Thank you again everyone willing to read my probably dumb, asked a million times questions!

When you go Haltech the Better set up is using the S5 TB and TPS.(hooking up the widerange tps only).Although it has been done with the s4 TPS(hooked up) ,some guys experience issues...They say it is either full off or full on.
.......the s4 Tps will not attach to the S5 throttle body,or vice versa.

The Rtek 2.0 will allow a combination of 550/550
550/720 or 720/720..BUT it can be tuned,so really you can get a little more "frisky" with the injectors.
If you use the 720/720 setup and put the 550/1000's on there you should be able tune it in just fine.
It really doesn't like to deviate from 25% difference but it has been done,so it is not an issue.
Now with 1600,you may have issues,as the % of difference is pretty wide.
Check the RTEK section on the forum.,Lots of good reading there.

question, my next task is to adapt my s4 n/a harness to work with s5 injectors. are there any cars out there that SHOULD be common at junkyards that happen to have the same style injector clips as the s5's? And do these turblown injectors have the s5 or s4 style injector clip?

Sweet, got some ordered. I'm sure I'll have a million more stupid questions; my 3" racing beat down pipe has two o2 bungs, the one closest to the turbo still requires the propper o2 sensor while the bung furthest away from the turbo is where my wideband will go correct? and when tuning my rtek 2.1 what is the desired afr reading on the wideband?

Desired AFR reading varies with load, and power output.
Easy starter rule of thumb would be 13.2 afr @ 0psi, taper down to 11:1 afr at full boost, and cruise around 14.7 afr.

I now have my bnr stage 4 turbo in so the last thing I need to do is order injectors. So I was running stock 550's w/ 1000cc secondaries. Wondering if I should order 720 primaries or make the 1000cc the primaries and order even larger secondaries??
Relevant mods-bnr stage 4, full 3" exhaust, greddy fmic, ported tb, streetport s5 4port, parallel fuel rails, walbro 255, and it looks like I'll be running rtek 2.1 for awhile.

You do not want to get carried away injector wise on that Rtek.
you can go 750/1000
800/1200..something like that.
try and stay roughly at 25% bigger on secondary. It is easier to tune.
