That manifold is one of those XS Power POS units, so I'd imagine the turbo is too.
Especially with no markings on the compressor housing...

You see any markings on the turbine housing?
There should be a "1.15" somewhere along the inlet flange?
Else, look for the tag that says "T4" and "ROTARY"?

the tag says T4 V BAND and the only marking on the inlet housing says J84 I dont know if that helps. I asked the guy i got it from and he said their not the same brand that he purchased them separately. he thinks the brand is garret but hes not sure. What is so bad about the XSPOWER manifolds? I taught they were good manifolds.

XS Power is made in china ebay junk. You're much better off with their manifold then their turbo, that's for damn sure. The manifold can work, with some grinding etc. You'll find that not much lines up, the craftsmanship is non-existent.

We're working on a customer's FD now that manifold, and to get the turbo to bolt up properly we had to grind the **** out of the mounting holes to open them up. It also places the wastegate right near the subframe, not the best spot.

That's been my experience, maybe you're lucky and got one of the good ones

I had no problem mounting the turbo on the manifold so i guess thats a good thing i guess I just need to find out what brand the turbo is and make sure its not a POS. Thanks.

Any other comments on this matter?

That turbo is Chinese made. The company that makes it is owned by the Goverment of China. The turbo is of decent quality but not intended for performance use.

Its a Chinese turbo. You could run the turbo, but it will not last at all. Some get so much play in them that the wheels destroy themselves or the oil seals go in a couple of months or less.

If you decide to use that manifold I recomend putting some support braces with it. I've had one of them crack from the weight of the turbo. The only reason I put another one on was because it was free and readily available. I built to braces, one that goes down to the motor mount, and one that goes up to the front of the engine. So now there is almost no weight of the turbo on the manifold and it's held up for about a year now with no problems.
